Horrible experience
I dont think the boat was safe to be in the water. Water leaking from all windows. The tour should have been canceled, the waters were too rough. We were never able to stop and fish. They dropped lines and just went in circles. 95% of people were sick. After and hr it was a consensus to just return.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your comment. We will look into what happened.

Great trip!
This was great. We caught many barracuda, hubby caught a very sizable wahoo. Marley and Captain Juan were great. Highly recommend!! ...be prepared for rougher seas than other places. We were fine, but other ppl on the boat couldn't leave the cabin to fish.
Response from the operator: Thank you for visiting us.

It's not something I would do twice
It was ok, but don't expect to be fishing with a fishing rod in hand. They set the rods with bait and hook in the water, and then it goes in a rod holder as they troll. The only time you touch it is when a fish gets on, and then they will hand you the rod to reel it in. You don't actually fish. Just get turns to reel one in if they catch any at all.

Late transportation but okay tour
I booked this trip mostly for my husband since he has always wanted to do deep sea fishing. To start, the transportation was an hour late to pick us up from an already late departure, scheduled for 11:40. We didn’t have high expectations of the tour since the experience with the driver was a bit stressful. Once we arrived at the beach, 2 gentlemen took us to a small boat to then transfer to the big one to go fishing. We were 4 total and it was enough space to keep distance. You don’t touch the bait or the fishing rods, they do everything for you. You just wait for them to bite and sit down to reel them in. Overall, the experience was okay. I speak Spanish and was able to translate for the other clients that only spoke English. If you feel it’s important to communicate during this trip, I recommend finding another tour with a fluent in your language tour guide. This is a fishing trip about 6-7 miles away from the shore, depth of water about 700 feet, I was sea sick so I recommend you to take some motion sickness meds before. We were lucky to catch 3 fish total.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your opinion. We will work to improve everything with this excursion.

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Fishing Tour in Punta Cana Deep Sea Fishing: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Fishing Tour in Punta Cana Deep Sea Fishing cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Fishing Tour in Punta Cana Deep Sea Fishing take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Fishing Tour in Punta Cana Deep Sea Fishing worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Fishing Tour in Punta Cana Deep Sea Fishing?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Fishing Tour in Punta Cana Deep Sea Fishing suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Fishing Tour in Punta Cana Deep Sea Fishing?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Fishing Tour in Punta Cana Deep Sea Fishing start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Off Road Buggy Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
