Rip-off

The total experience was a complete ripoff off and upsell. The booking process was fine but was quoted $25 and then the price jumped to $45. The driver was prompt and coordinated well but the entire trip lasted 25 minutes instead of the promised hour and the boat captain kept badgering me for a tip. This should have been a $10 trip at best and out of the dozen or so vessels in the vicinity, I was the only guest. I would definitely not recommend this experience and recommend going thru a hotel.

Felucca ride

Relax and enjoy the ride. It was very peaceful and a wonderful ride on the nile. Our tour guide picked us up and took us to the boat. it was a 45-50 minute ride on the water. Our boatsman was Luxor. A friendly guy who was willing to make our ride pleasant. Could not see the sunset but the ride was very memorable

Perfect calm ending to a hectic da

The calm and quite of sailing on the Nile was a perfect end to our busy day. The gorgeous night time view of the city was beautiful and seeing the all the colour boats on the Nile was beautiful. Both our driver and the man sailing the boat were skilled and experienced. We had a pleasure thanks to their skilled service. Would 100% recommend (and also recommend bringing a jacket if you're going after sunset, the wind can get a little chilly).

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
