We will start our tour to Wadi Hitan Protected Area (Valley of the Whales), about 90 km far from Fayoum. Wadi Hitan or Valley of the Whales is located in the Protected Area of Wadi El Rayan, and it was designated by UNISCO as a world Heritage Site in recognition of the 40 million year –old whale skeletons found there. On the way to Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls, visit the magic lake where you will have chance to enjoy sand boarding all over the sand dunes, then visit Mudawara Mountain. Then into Wadi Al Ryan Waterfalls. Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression located in the western desert, Wadi Rayan consists of two lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfalls, formed in 1970 by an overflow of drainage water from the farmlands in Fayoum. then we will BBQ lunch in Tunisa village.

All these areas are full of amazing landscapes such as oases, mountains, rock formations and waterfalls.

Valley of the Whales (Wadi Al-Hitan)
The only location on Earth where the skeletons of families of extinct whales can be observed in their native geological and geographic setting—a shallow bay rich in nutrients from a sea that existed some 40 million years ago—is Wadi Al-Hitan in Egypt's Western Desert. In addition to providing important insights into the palaeoecologic conditions of the Eocene vertebrate and invertebrate life, as well as the evolution of these ancestors of modern whales, fossils and sediments from various periods and levels reveal many millions of years of life. Amazingly, the hind limbs, feet, and toes of two species remained small.

It was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was extremely well organized, which made the whole activity smooth and enjoyable. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information in a clear and engaging way. The group was also very friendly and had a great sense of humor, which made the experience even more pleasant and fun. I highly recommend it without any hesitation!!it was an unforgettable experience!!!
