On this tour we will visit the most popular places southwest of Coimbra. In Fátima we will go to Aljustrel, the place where the little shepherds lived and in the Sanctuary we will visit the Basilicas and the Apparições Chapel. We continue to Batalha to visit the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória. Imposing, it stands out for its monumentality and the stone tracery on the outside, marks that make it easily identifiable. After Batalha we drive towards the sea, to the village of Nazaré where we will begin our visits at the Sanctuary, Sítio, Northern Beach to view the waves and ending in the labyrinthine and narrow streets of the village. At a time to be agreed, we will return to the starting point, Coimbra.

Religious to roaring waves day trip-Fatima to Nazare
Xavier was very prompt to respond. As a solo traveler, sometimes it’s difficult to get a trip for 1 person but they were VERY accommodating. The pickup was seamless and Monika was my guide that day. She has a passion for sharing the history and respectful of how the attendees wanted to experience the tour as each person is different. I would 100% use them again!

Fatima, Batalha, Nazare
We had an amazing day trip from Coimbra to Fátima, Batalha and Nazaré, and we were very happy with the whole experience. Each place was beautiful and interesting in its own way, and the trip was very well organized. A special thank you to our wonderful guide, Monica! She was friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole day even more enjoyable. She took the time to explain everything, answered all our questions and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the trip. She even extended the tour a little bit so we could enjoy the experience more, which we really appreciated. We absolutely loved the trip and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Coimbra and looking to explore these beautiful places in Portugal. Thank you, Monica, for such a lovely day! ❤️

Rushed tour guide uninterested in our experience
Late for our pick up and then told me we had to hurry because we were 23 min late. We were waiting outside btw. She drove up and didn’t text or even look for us. I walked Up and asked if she was looking for us. Rude aggressive almost running at stops until we got to our “lunch reservation” (which we did not request ). 1 tiny bottle of water suppled to each of us. I’d have brought my own had I realized water wasn’t provided for the day. Mumbled and was impatient from the start. A complete waste of the day and almost $500 for the 3 of us. I was so embarrassed for my guests. A very bad reflection of your company. Tourists, Save your money and do a bus tour. You’ll learn more and perhaps will be treated with respect and kindness. We certainly did not get that from Monica.

Awful tour… take a bus.
“Tour guide” was late and then told me I was she said we were to be waiting at 850. We were until 905, then stepped into the hotel so I could see my phone screen to check if anyone had tried to reach me . She arrived at 910 and immediately began to complain we were late and now 23 min late to start the tour and must go. As you can imagine, the remainder of the “tour was the same. We were to be provided water and stuck in a pocket were 3 bottles (tiny ). So if you only need 8oz for a full day, I suppose That was provided. I told Her my husband has some hearing loss and she continued to mumble and talk softly so that even myself and sister had to lean up to barely hear her. She turned on the radio and opened her window as well so that after we were unable to hear at all. At each stop she basically sprinted. She also asked several times if we had questions and then would interrupt if we did. We finally just gave up and became silent. She seemed very uninterested and although I tried to speak to her she would not let me speak but was rude and aggressive and spoke to me like a child. I refuse to argue and she was defensive and rude so I gave up trying to speak at all. She also “booked” our lunch and suddenly there was an hour and a half to spend at eating …. With “her” restaurant of choice. Not ours. She then decided we were not able to see the last stop so we just ride home silently. Definitely a rip off at over 400$ and not worth what we paid.the experience was terrible and she should not be in the business as she is very rude and impatient.

Fatima was the highlight...
Fatima was the highlight of our day, but it was also a great way to see Nazare and Bathala as part of the same trip. The guide was excellent and gave lots of wonderful information about the trip, Coimbra & surrounding areas.
