Then pass by the black pyramid (was made out of mud) it goes back to the reign of the pharaoh Amenemhat III (middle kingdom), it remains the most imposing monument at the site after the tow Sneferu pyramids, the polished granite pyramidion Or capstone of the black pyramid is on display in main hall at the Egyptian museum in Cairo.

Pyramids and peace & quiet
This was a lovely day trip combining fascinating ancient history with the lives of ordinary Egyptians in the present day. Our guide Mr Ali was charming and knowledgeable, he let us spend as much time as we wanted at each place but he could see we were getting tired towards the end of the afternoon. The farm was particularly beautiful, with traditional bread making, delicious food and demonstrations of local crafts, and the owner took us for a walk around to see the various crops growing there. Our driver Amar was great too, very patient and helpful. Would definitely recommend this trip if you’re looking for something a bit different as well as the pyramids.

A great day out away from the bustle of Cairo city.
A great day out. Our guide, Mr Ali was excellent company and quite laid back for the trip. The visit to the pyramids was excellent, climbing through the bent pyramid was quite a work out, but well worth it. The highlight was the afternoon at the farm. Lunch was fantastic quality and lots of it. The staff were really friendly and quite amazing. The farm grows lots of things from peas to dates and zucchini etc. it is truly a paradise, peaceful and green. Dwarfed by date palms the small dining rooms are quite magical. Making your own bread for lunch was also fun and tasted really nice. Walking around the farm with our host was a blast as he has quite a sense of humour. Altogether highly recommended.

A fantastic day out, great for families as well.
A very relaxed and enjoyable afternoon at an amazing farm. Growing everything from peas to zucchini. The food was really enjoyable and varied, baking my own bread was great fun and tasted fantastic. The staff were really nice and friendly and happily explained what they were doing in the craft demos. The place really is a paradise and a wonderful contrast to Cairo and it’s bustle In the morning we visited the Red and bent pyramids. Very interesting but the climb around the inside of the bent pyramid really gave me a work out. Very glad to have done it though. An experience well worth doing.

See and feel the real Egypt
The farm yo table experience is not ti be missed! The food was wonderful in a beautiful place. The owner of the restaurant took me on a tour of the farm. I had an experience of real Egypt. The oener hires local people for his farm and table contributing to helping the area economically.

Farm to table tour in Dahshur
Lily is an excellent tour guide. She first took us to visit the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid, providing detailed explanations of the history and chatting with us, which made the journey very relaxing. Later, we went to a rural farm for an amazing experience. It was my first time riding a donkey cart, baking my own flatbread, making cookies, and even climbing a palm tree for the first time. We also got to see the vast variety of plants across the entire farm. Ending our trip with this tour on the last day was the best decision—it was truly unforgettable!
