Great time in a 5 person buggy!!!!
Great time in a 5 person buggy! We have 3 kids, so its difficult to find things to do where we can all ride together, so this worked out perfectly! You ride for about 45 minutes, there are lots of holes with water to go through, so you can stay as clean or get as dirty as you want. Wear the disposable glasses you can buy from their store, I had to get a new set of Oakley lenses because mine got destroyed by the dust on the road. Its got a salt that eats the film on sunglasses. Also get the face masks so you dont have to breathe that dust. Some didn't and they regretted it. We stop at a cool little local coffee shop / candy store and then head on another 30 minutes to a cave where you get to walk in and explore around. The cave is a great place for pictures. We had a great time and opted to hit the mud puddles full speed, so we had to make use of their outdoor showers before jumping in to our car to head back. We had our own rental car and they had space for us to park there, but it looks like a majority of people rode in their open air truck from the resorts. They take lots of pictures of you along the way, which you can buy at the end of the trip. Overall, great time!

Avoid this company. a very boring experience
WORST buggy company in Punta Cana. We were a big group intended to have fun. Instead we had 4 hours of a very BORING experience. First, the bus took one hour to take us to the boogies, picking people in all hotels. Then we were pushed to have a "private" tour, paying almost double the amount we already paid, which we rejected. I assume in a way to retaliate, we were asked to go VERY slow one after the other one in caravan, in a very boring parade. All other boogies were going faster and in a much more fun experience. When I complained, the owner/manager approached me in a very rude way, suggesting I was the problem. There are lots of good boogie companies. This is by far the worst AVOID!

Gene the tour guide is...
Gene the tour guide is wonderful, pleasant and friendly. The drive to the excursion was beyond horrible. The driver hit every pot hole. The dirt road was full of rocks which made the ride uncomfortable. Purchase goggles and face covering prior to arriving. You’ll be covered in dust during the ride. The photographer take pictures of everyone expecting you to purchase them. The dune buggies are old and a few broke down. It was nice having dune buggies that could accommodate families. Would I do this excursion again, no.
Response from the operator: Good afternoon thanks for your opinion, But Family buggy adventure is another company.

Wanted it longer!!
Excellent evening adventure, buggy drive was only for about 30 minutes (shame) then a drink, have a look at local culture, sample coffee and chocolate beans, then a little dip in a cave pool then great food then a little dancing phew!! So much in such a short excursion.

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Family Buggy Adventure in Punta Cana: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Family Buggy Adventure in Punta Cana cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Family Buggy Adventure in Punta Cana take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Family Buggy Adventure in Punta Cana worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 194 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Family Buggy Adventure in Punta Cana?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Family Buggy Adventure in Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Family Buggy Adventure in Punta Cana?
+
Around 68 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Family Buggy Adventure in Punta Cana start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
