Good tour, but not for a full van of 8

Good way to see Nice, Monaco and Monte Carlo in a short time. Our guide Margarita stopped at some great spots so we all could get out and see the sights. She was very knowledgeable about the history and the area, so gave us good commentary (including race car sounds as we drove the Formula One circuit in Monte Carlo 😂) The van was very crowded with the 8 of us however, and 3 of the seats face backwards so you couldn't see much at all.

Response from the operator: Hello dear Heather, Thank you for taking time to leave feedback. It's true that sometimes it could be crowded to be 8 in one van but it's the groupe to decide if it would be confortable in one car. Sometimes even 4 of you it's crowded . Anyhow hope we have done our best to let you discover our lovely French Riviera. Kind Regards, Lili

    Poor experience for some people

We don’t a great experience with our tour. Our driver suppose to accompany us and explained but all he did is drop us off and we are on our own . The other groups had a great experience though. We were on separate cars (3) which should not be since we’re 16.

Response from the operator: Hello Wilma, We were very surprised to read your review, as all the tour details — including the date, meeting point, and schedule — were clearly discussed in advance. On the day of your tour, our team stayed in constant contact with you and was ready to start as soon as you disembarked from the tender. You had chosen a half-day tour (8:30 AM – 1:30 PM), but since your ship arrived later than expected, we kindly extended the tour until 2:10 PM so that you could still enjoy all the planned stops. Your group consisted of 16 guests. When you asked to be together, we explained that a larger Sprinter vehicle would be required, which involved an additional cost. You confirmed that two vans would be fine, yet we still provided three vans to make your experience more comfortable — at no extra charge. All the other guests were very happy with the tour and expressed their satisfaction directly to the guides. You visited every site listed in the tour description, exactly as promised. We always strive to offer a high-quality experience and fair communication with all our guests. We’re truly sorry if there was any misunderstanding and hope you still enjoyed discovering our beautiful region. P.S. Below, I’ll copy and paste part of our previous conversation as confirmation. Hi Lily , I am not sure if u got my message. What time are we starting ? And about what time are we ending because my husband wants to go shopping there . I been to Monaco and Monte Carlo already and just accompanying the group ! Are we still meeting at the old port . We’ll try to get out as soon as possible since I think we have priority. We’ll keep our same reservation , no need for all us to be together . Thank you ! Wilma Cabuang Oct 19, 2025 at 07:50 AM

    A Great Day in Monaco!

We had an exceptional day with our tour guide, Roman. He had a wonderful personality, spoke impeccable, English, and was more than happy to tailor our trip to the specific things that we wanted to see. We were very grateful for his expertise and his knowledge. He was a wonderful representative of your company!

Response from the operator: Hello SUSAN, I would like to thank you for choosing VIP Riviera Tour to spend your day with and for having posted your review on TripAdvisor. We do appreciate it. I hope that we will have the pleasure to welcome you or your friends again someday and stay at your disposal for any future booking request. Best Regards, Lilit H. Customer Care Dept. When we booked no pick up...

When we booked no pick up time was given however we expected it to be when the ship arrived in port. We only had 7 hours available and the driver had us wait 2 hours to be picked up. Turned out to be a very rushed day. The Driver (Jam) was a great guide and helped make the most of the day

Response from the operator: Hello Dear MARK, I would like to thank you for choosing VIP Riviera Tour to spend your day with and for having posted your review on TripAdvisor. It's our priority to wait for you even if there is a delay with tender or any issue with docking. As you can see jam waited for your groupe for 2 h. We never leave the port to update your day. We do appreciate it. I hope that we will have the pleasure to welcome you or your friends again someday and stay at your disposal for any future booking request. Best Regards, Lilit H. Great experience

We had an amazing tour with our guide Ingrid, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Ingrid did a great job pointing out specific sites and giving us the history of what we were viewing. I would highly recommend this excursion.

Eze Monaco and Monte Carlo: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nice.

How much does Eze Monaco and Monte Carlo cost?

    +

Prices start at $651 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Eze Monaco and Monte Carlo take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nice is not rushed.

Is Eze Monaco and Monte Carlo worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Eze Monaco and Monte Carlo?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Eze Monaco and Monte Carlo suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Eze Monaco and Monte Carlo?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nice and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Eze Monaco and Monte Carlo start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Nice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include ★ Walking Tour of Old Nice and Castle Hill, NO DIET CLUB - Unique Local Food in Nice !, Nice City Segway Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
