What you get
About this experience
Boogies, one of the best excursions in Punta Cana as you tour the jungle and discover incredible landscapes that are part of the heart of the Dominican Republic. We will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the ranch while you enjoy the view of different plantations and small Dominican communities, then you will drive a Double Boogies (for two people) or a Family Boogies (for three or four people) on exotic roads until you reach Playa de Macau, where you can enjoy this beautiful Caribbean beach. You will continue driving on the road to cross remote villages, coffee, banana, tobacco and cocoa plantations, where you can taste the typical coffee and cocoa, as well as our famous Mamajuana. You will continue the tour on the Boogies until you reach the incredible (Cueva Taina). Nothing will be as special as a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of a natural cave. Santo Domingo in go cart
Be prepaired to wait for two hours before you leave the buggie launch. Everything takes so much time the places like the cave and beach places you actually want to be at will be rushed. It is like driving in Santo Domingo i never once got to open up the buggie because bumper to bumper buggies and semi trucks active traffic and other buggie companies using the exact back country. I am not kidding.
Response from the operator: Good morning! Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. We understand how frustrating it can be when waiting times are longer than expected or when traffic on the buggy routes affects the overall experience. we appreciate your comments, as they help us work with our operations team to improve scheduling and provide a smoother experience for our guests. Thank you again for your honest review,

My friends and I enjoyed this excursion so much that we would definitely do it again!

100% recommend
The experience was amazing! We had a private tour because we were the only ones that spoke English. Our tour guide was straightforward, but a little impatient. The people at each stop were pushy, but going into it with that understanding helps. The cave was amazing, but not long enough for a stop. Be prepared to get super muddy😂 The beach water is extremely salty, but feels amazing. We used the regular buggy, and I think that made the experience way better than had we upgraded. I’d recommend the basic buggy Ask for prices on the island for drinks. They wanted to charge $35 (American dollars) per drink, without alcohol. They are very pushy. The tour guide was awesome in the beginning, but became extremely pushy and rude as we were finishing our time on Macao beach. Very disrespectful, but overall, we had fun.

Extreme Buggy Tour in Punta Cana, River Cave, Macao Beach: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Extreme Buggy Tour in Punta Cana, River Cave, Macao Beach cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Extreme Buggy Tour in Punta Cana, River Cave, Macao Beach take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Extreme Buggy Tour in Punta Cana, River Cave, Macao Beach worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 30 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Extreme Buggy Tour in Punta Cana, River Cave, Macao Beach?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Extreme Buggy Tour in Punta Cana, River Cave, Macao Beach suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Extreme Buggy Tour in Punta Cana, River Cave, Macao Beach?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Extreme Buggy Tour in Punta Cana, River Cave, Macao Beach start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
