1. Baku Old City

   On your tour of Baku's Old City, you'll have the chance to explore the impressive fortress walls that have protected the city for centuries. Your journey will begin at the Double Gates, one of the main entrances to the Old City, which date back to the 12th century. These gates are a striking example of medieval Azerbaijani architecture and were historically used for both defense and trade. From here, you’ll begin a walk around the fortified walls, which stretch along the perimeter of the Old City. As you walk along the walls, your guide will explain their significance in Baku's history. Built to defend against invasions and protect the inhabitants, these walls were part of a larger fortification system that once included watchtowers, gates, and battlements. You’ll also see some of the original architectural features that have stood the test of time, offering a glimpse into the military strategy and defense mechanisms of the past.

2. Fairmont Baku, Flame Towers

   We will begin with a scenic ride on the Baku Funicular, which takes us up towards the Flame Towers. Travelers will get the chance to admire these iconic skyscrapers up close, learning about their unique design and symbolism as a modern landmark of Azerbaijan. In the evening, the Flame Towers light up with a dazzling LED show, making them one of the city’s most unforgettable sights.

3. Martyrs' Lane

   After seeing the Flame Towers, we will continue to Martyrs’ Lane, one of Baku’s most significant memorial sites. Here, travelers will learn about the tragic events of Black January (1990) and the sacrifices made for Azerbaijan’s independence. The alley is lined with black granite graves, each honoring the heroes who lost their lives. From this spot, visitors can also enjoy one of the best panoramic views of Baku and the Caspian Sea, making it both a place of remembrance and reflection, as well as a highlight of the city tour.

4. Highland Park

   Following our visit to Martyrs’ Lane, we will explore Highland Park, the best viewpoint in Baku.    Next, we will visit Little Venice, a charming network of canals and bridges located along the Baku Boulevard.    We will then continue to Baku Boulevard, the city’s famous seaside promenade stretching along the Caspian Sea.
