2. Ky Anh Tunnel

   The Kỳ Anh Tunnels are located in Thach Tan Hamlet, Tam Thang Commune (formerly Ky Anh Commune), about 7 kilometers northeast of Tam Ky City in Da Nang Province. Built between 1965 and 1967 during the Vietnam War, the tunnels were entirely dug by local villagers using simple tools such as hoes, shovels, and baskets. Stretching over 32 kilometers, Kỳ Anh is the third-largest tunnel system in Vietnam, after the famous Cu Chi Tunnels in Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh Moc Tunnels in Quang Tri. The tunnels are quite narrow, measuring only 0.5–0.8 meters wide and 0.8–1 meter high, but they form a complex underground network with many branches connected through village houses, wells, and kitchens.

3. My Lai Massacre - Son My Memorial

   Son My Village (Mỹ Lai) – A Place of Memory and Peace in Quang Ngai Located in Tinh Khe Commune, Quang Ngai Province, Son My Village (often known internationally as My Lai) is a place that holds both painful history and a message of peace. On March 16, 1968, during the Vietnam War, the village suffered a tragic massacre in which 504 innocent civilians—mostly women, children, and the elderly—lost their lives. Today, the Son My Memorial Site stands on this land, preserving the memory of the victims and educating future generations about the value of peace.

4. Quang Ngai Province

   Minh Đức Pagoda – The Spiritual Landmark of Quảng Ngãi Minh Đức Pagoda, located on Thiên Mã Mountain in Quảng Ngãi Province, is the largest Buddhist temple complex in the region and a must-see destination for travelers. Covering an area of nearly 90 hectares, the pagoda blends traditional Vietnamese architecture with grand modern design, creating a serene yet impressive spiritual space. The highlight of the complex is the 125-meter Avalokitesvara (Quan Âm) statue – the tallest of its kind in Southeast Asia. Inside the statue are 25 floors with exhibition spaces, meditation areas, and an elevator that takes visitors up to viewing platforms, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city, rice fields, and coastline.

5. The Marble Mountains

   Marble Mountains (Ngũ Hành Sơn) – The Spiritual Symbol of Da Nang Located about 9 km south of Da Nang city center, the Marble Mountains (Vietnamese: Ngũ Hành Sơn) are a cluster of five limestone and marble hills, each named after one of the five natural elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. The mountains are famous for their mystical caves, ancient pagodas, stone-carving villages, and panoramic viewpoints. Among them, Thuy Son (Water Mountain) is the largest and most popular, where visitors can explore: Huyen Khong Cave – a breathtaking natural cave illuminated by sunlight from above. Tam Thai Pagoda & Linh Ung Pagoda – historic temples where locals come to pray for peace and prosperity. Stone steps and viewpoints – offering stunning views of Da Nang city, the Han River, and Non Nuoc Beach. At the foot of the mountains lies Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village, where artisans have crafted exquisite marble sculptures for centuries.

6. Bay Mau Coconut Forest

   Bay Mau Coconut Forest – The “Little Mekong” of Hoi An Just 5 km from Hoi An Ancient Town, the Bay Mau Coconut Forest is a unique water coconut palm mangrove that has become a favorite eco-tourism spot. Covering more than 7 hectares, the forest resembles a “mini Mekong Delta” with its lush waterways and dense coconut palms. Visitors can enjoy a basket boat ride (thung chai) through narrow canals, guided by local fishermen. Along the way, you’ll experience fun activities such as boat dancing, casting fishing nets, and crab catching, all while listening to stories about the forest’s history. During the wartime, this area was also a revolutionary base, providing shelter to Vietnamese soldiers. 7. Hoi An Ancient Town

   Hoi An Ancient Town – A Timeless Charm of Vietnam. Hoi An, located in Central Vietnam, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the country’s most enchanting destinations. Once a bustling international trading port from the 15th to 19th century, the town today is famous for its well-preserved architecture, lantern-lit streets, and rich cultural heritage. Walking through Hoi An feels like stepping back in time. Visitors can admire ancient merchant houses, Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese assembly halls, and colorful temples.
