Amazing tour to Pompeii and Almafi
Just finished an amazing tour with my family from Naples to Pompeii and Amalfi with Napoli City Vision. We were first met by Christian at our hotel lobby and he walked us through the itinerary, very nice and professional. He introduced us to Nicola who would be our driver for the entire tour, more on Nicola later. Nicola drove us to Pompeii and we met our tour guide, sorry I forget her name (think it was something like Fiona). She was very good and knowledgeable about Pompeii, gave us cool little details that made the tour so much better. Then we met with Christian who handed us over to Nicola who would take us for the rest of the tour and off we went to Amalfi. Nicola was amazing! He picked up drinks and candy for us while we were in Pompeii so they’ll be cold during our drive. He told us about the different cities we pass along our drive. We stopped at Positano and got out for pictures of the beautiful scenic views of the town and ocean views - of course Nicola got out with us to take pictures of our family and show us the best spots to get the best views. He also showed my kids some magic tricks which they enjoyed, he really won us over. Then he took us to Amalfi where we had time to explore and grab a bite to eat, went to Dona Stella for lunch, their lemon ricotta ravioli was delicious. Nicola was waiting for us where he dropped us off and told us great stories on the drive through the mountains back to our hotel. Thank you all for making this such a great experience for my family during our first trip to Italy.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful and detailed review! We’re thrilled that your family's first trip to Italy was made even more special by Christian, Nicola, and our Pompeii guide. Your kind words about Nicola’s care, professionalism, and thoughtful gestures mean a lot to us. We truly appreciate your trust and hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure! ✨ Staff NapoliCityVision

Day visit in Pompei and Amalf
The trip to and from our destination was good organized by Ivana and with comfortable bus. The Pompei visit was ok, a bit unstructured in the start, no one knew what should happen and there could have been a break to buy drinks or go to toilet. Visit in Amalfi was good, we had a great lunch at one of the beach restaurants. All in all a fine day 😊
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We are happy that you appreciated the transport organization with Ivana, the comfortable bus, and your time in Amalfi with a great lunch by the beach. We also sincerely take note of your feedback regarding the initial organization in Pompeii and the lack of a break, as this helps us improve our service. We hope to welcome you again soon for another experience! Staff Napolicityvision

Amazing day with amazing food and great guides.
Our group for Pompeii wasn't too large and was a mix of both spanish and english speakers. Both the guides and tour guides were fluent in both languages while making sure to switch between the two when needed. It was a great day and both places were amazing to see. Pompeii was better than I expected and jam packed with history. The mosiacs, stones, and small details really stood out from the rest of the world today. Amalfi was beautiful! It was a bit foggy, but that meant it wasn't an uncomfortable weather to go around and explore in. The food one of our guides recommended was amazing (cuoppo) and the lemon sorbet is a must. Our driver, Niclo, was great to talk to and a very cheerful person. He recommended some donuts near our hotel that turned out to be the best treat I've had in Italy! He was an expert at navigating the sharp, winding turns of the coastal/cliff roads both to and from Amalfi. He did a great job and really made our trip the best one so far.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted you enjoyed Pompeii and Amalfi and that Niclo and our guides made the day special. We hope to welcome you again for another great tour! Staff Napolicityvision

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Explore Pompeii & Amalfi in One Day from Naples with Free Time: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Explore Pompeii & Amalfi in One Day from Naples with Free Time cost?
+
Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Explore Pompeii & Amalfi in One Day from Naples with Free Time take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Explore Pompeii & Amalfi in One Day from Naples with Free Time worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 505 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Pompeii & Amalfi in One Day from Naples with Free Time?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Explore Pompeii & Amalfi in One Day from Naples with Free Time suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Explore Pompeii & Amalfi in One Day from Naples with Free Time?
+
Around 177 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Explore Pompeii & Amalfi in One Day from Naples with Free Time start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
