    A lot of Luxor

If you are looking for an experience while in Luxor, look no further and book this! Mohamed took the most excellent care of us during our fully customized Luxor excursion. He had extensive information about each of the sites we visited (and that was A LOT OF SITES). He made sure we were comfortable and had all the information we needed/wanted. My particular itinerary was very ambitious for a single day, but the team made it happen. Valley of the Kings, Hatsheut, Collosi of Memnon, Medinet Habu, Karnek, and a Felucca ride to end our day. I suggest if you have time, splitting the day into at least two, but our time did not allow. Tiring day but 100% worth it! THANK YOU!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Rosie, for taking the time to share such a wonderful review! We are absolutely delighted to hear that you enjoyed your day in Luxor and that Mohamed took such excellent care of you throughout your experience. You certainly managed to see a lot of Luxor in one day! 😊 Your itinerary was indeed ambitious, but we were very happy to make it happen and give you the opportunity to experience as much as possible during your limited time. From the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple to Medinet Habu, Karnak and finally the Felucca ride, it sounds like you made the most of every moment. We also truly appreciate your recommendation about splitting the experience over two days. For travelers who have the time, we completely agree—it allows you to explore the sites at a more relaxed pace and enjoy Luxor without feeling rushed. Thank you again for choosing us and for your kind words about Mohamed and our team. It was a pleasure taking care of you, and we hope to welcome you back to Egypt one day for another adventure! Warm regards, Waleed Elakbawy Forever Egypt Tours

    Great day in Luxor

We had a great day exploring Luxor with our guide, Amr from Forever Egypt. He took us to Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, and the Valley of the Kings, and shared interesting information about each site. His explanations gave us a solid understanding of the history and significance of the temples and tombs. Amr was friendly, organised, and made sure the day ran smoothly. We appreciated that he managed the logistics well and helped us get around comfortably, especially in the heat. Overall, it was a wonderful, enjoyable and informative tour and a great way to see the main highlights of Luxor.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! 🌟 We’re so happy to hear that you had a great day in Luxor and enjoyed exploring the East and West Banks with Amr. Amazing company, great people

Waleed and the Forever Egypt team was spectacular. They took care of every detail so we had a fun, safe and seamless trip. They communicate exceptionally well and follow thru on everything they promise. If you go to Egypt, go with this company (shout out to Amr and Ahmed in particular, who were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful). (As an aside, our family went during the start of the Israel/Iran conflict and felt safe and welcome the entire time. The people are kind and welcoming.)

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Luxor.

How much does Explore Luxor's East and West Banks on a Private Guided Day Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Luxor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Explore Luxor's East and West Banks on a Private Guided Day Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Luxor is not rushed.

Is Explore Luxor's East and West Banks on a Private Guided Day Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Luxor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Luxor's East and West Banks on a Private Guided Day Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Explore Luxor's East and West Banks on a Private Guided Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Explore Luxor's East and West Banks on a Private Guided Day Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Luxor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Luxor and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Explore Luxor's East and West Banks on a Private Guided Day Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Luxor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Luxor?

    +

On Outty we rank every Luxor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Half Day Luxor Tour Valley of Kings & Queens, Hatshepsut, Full Day Tour to East and West Banks of Luxor (Private), Private Half day Tour to West bank. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Luxor?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Luxor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
