Amasing experience
My husband and I recently visited Barcelona. We booked a private tour with Christian and it was the best choice ever made! His knowledge on history is unbelievable! His love for the city is contagious! We loved every minute of it! Highly recommended! Next time we are in Barcelona will book more tours with Christian!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Anthi, for your wonderful feedback! Glad you and your husband enjoyed the tour! Hope to see you back here in Barcelona very soon! All the best, Christian

Highly recommended
Barcelona with a private guide! It was just great. So much seen, walked, amazed and learned. I was amazed at how much there was to explore, away from the usual tourist streams. Christian showed us so many little things and hidden corners that made the city even more lovable. Thank you also for the culinary tips. We tested everything on the same day and felt megacrass for it!!! Daaaaannnkke.
Response from the operator: Herzlichen Dank für das tolle Feedback! Es freut mich sehr, dass ich euch so viel zeigen konnte und ihr aus dem Staunen nicht heraus kamt :) Es hat sehr viel Spass gemacht! Alles Gute, Christian

Barcelona up close!
We had a great private tour of El Born and Brera. With many hidden places we got a competent overview... From historical contexts to insights into the special architecture to excellent recommendations in culinary terms, we have lacked nothing. Thank you very much Christian, for the beautiful experience!
Response from the operator: Lieben Dank für deine tolle Rückmeldung!

Individual and impressive city tour – highly recommended!
We had a private city tour for two and were absolutely delighted! The tour was informative, exciting and at the same time pleasantly relaxed. We particularly loved how individual our interests were addressed. My walking disability was also taken into account without any problems – the pace and route were adjusted accordingly, so I felt comfortable at all times. A great experience that really enriched our Barcelona stay. Thank you for that!
Response from the operator: Vielen herzlichen Dank, Jens, für Deine tolle Rückmeldung! Es freut uns sehr, dass euch die Tour gefallen hat! Herzliche Grüße, Michael und Christian

Walking tour average
Would have been better with more people. Michael needed questions to keep the conversation going. We walked around in circles and should start with the oldest to the newest. A lot of walking and not much undiscovered items. Good basis to start Barcelona but would have liked more history.
Response from the operator: I'm sorry to hear that you were not completely happy with the tour. As you booked a private tour, there were no other participants—this format is designed to allow for a highly interactive and personalized experience. It’s quite normal for our private tours to involve a balance of guiding and dialogue, where guests are encouraged to ask questions and engage with the guide. We find that this makes for a much richer and more memorable experience. The tour itself is centered around Barcelona’s fascinating history in all its many facets. It follows a carefully crafted and proven setup that Michael and I have developed and refined over the course of delivering hundreds of tours. The route is designed not just to follow a timeline, but to tell the story of the city through its neighborhoods, architecture, and hidden layers that many visitors would otherwise miss. Michael is a very experienced guide, and his goal is always to offer an insightful, engaging, and historically grounded experience. I’m sorry if the format wasn’t quite what you expected, but we truly believe in the value and depth of what we offer. Kind regards, Christian

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Explore hidden streets of Barcelona with a local - Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Explore hidden streets of Barcelona with a local - Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $17 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Explore hidden streets of Barcelona with a local - Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Explore hidden streets of Barcelona with a local - Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Explore hidden streets of Barcelona with a local - Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Explore hidden streets of Barcelona with a local - Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Explore hidden streets of Barcelona with a local - Private Tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Explore hidden streets of Barcelona with a local - Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
