A simp,e must, way better than you'd think id you et the timing right.

What an amazing way to start our trip to Vietnam! I honestly wasn't expecting too much fro this day, as it seemed very cheap and I presumed that Train Street would be crazy busy and we'd struggle to find a good spot for photos or somewhere to sit..Luckily our guide Quinn (more of her later!) had secured seating for us right on track side in a lovely little cafe/bar. After little chat and explanation of the area, we sat down to enjoy a few drinks that were included in the tour, soft drink and beers/cider are but not cocktails, which is more than fair as far as I'm concerned. The train slowly rumbled by at arms length and it was truly great to be that close, uncrowded and just left to relax and choose what you do in your own moment. After it had passed, we were at our own pace for photos etc before we headed off on our "Street food" tour, Again Quinn took the lead and with her bright, enthusiastic friendly and funny manner, off all 4 of us trotted after her, following her into what can only be described as "out of the way, hidden local gems", these are places that honestly we would walk past and either not notice, or probably be a bit scared to try, but safe to say everywhere she took us was amazing. Do note that there are 4 ,yes 4 stop on the way, so a word of advice, save some room :-) we especially enjoyed the self made wraps/spring rolls. After 4 stops we were all well and truly stuffed, the walks were short between and very manageable n the heat and humidity, this is a fantastic tour run by and exceptional bright young lady, her ability to read the groups ethos and blend in was genuinely charming and she felt like a friend rather than a guide, she's a credit to her company and to herself.

Vespa Food Tour and Train Street

If you want to feel like you're exploring with a friend, or even your bestie, ask for Charlie! I'm traveling solo, and by the end of the tour it felt like I'd known him for years. He makes you feel completely comfortable, the conversations are fun and engaging, takes great pictures and he's incredibly knowledgeable about the food and the places you visit. I can't recommend him enough. He truly takes the experience to the next level. Thank you, Charlie!

Explore Hanoi Train Street Tour Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Explore Hanoi Train Street Tour Experience cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Explore Hanoi Train Street Tour Experience take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Explore Hanoi Train Street Tour Experience worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Hanoi Train Street Tour Experience?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Explore Hanoi Train Street Tour Experience suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Explore Hanoi Train Street Tour Experience?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Explore Hanoi Train Street Tour Experience start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
