    Excellent

We had an excellent day in El Chaltén; Gimena was our guide and shared many interesting facts along the way. We were able to stop at many incredible scenic spots and had plenty of time to take photos of Fitz Roy. The car was very comfortable, and the driver was very friendly, too.

Awful . Do not book this tour.

⭐ Misleading itinerary and no refund – booked through TripAdvisor I booked this tour through TripAdvisor because it was advertised as a full-day excursion visiting different destinations. The advertised itinerary was the reason I chose and paid for this tour. However, less than 24 hours before the tour was due to take place, the tour operator contacted me and informed me that I could only visit one of the destinations. When I questioned this, pointing out that the tour was advertised as visiting all , I was told that if I did not agree with the revised itinerary, I would not be going on the tour. The operator then cancelled the tour. Despite the cancellation being made so close to the departure time, I was told that I would not receive a refund. This was an extremely disappointing experience. I paid for a specific tour based on the advertised itinerary, only for that itinerary to be changed at the last minute. The tour was then cancelled because I would not agree to the revised arrangements, and I was left without the experience or my money back. I would urge anyone considering booking this tour through TripAdvisor to carefully check the itinerary and cancellation and refund policies before making a payment.

Response from the operator: You received a full refund 24 hours after the tour was cancelled. With this second comment, it is evident that you have serious behavioral and aggression issues, and that you took the time to create a fake account on the platform solely to defame us and spread lies about our service. We will not tolerate disrespect under any circumstances.

    Fraudulent company !!

I booked this tour as it showed multiple stops. The condors hike, waterfall and Capri lagoon. The night before the tour I am asked which I’d like to go to because time constraints won’t allow to visit all the places. Why advise this then? I questioned the agency stating what the itinerary was and why it was changed to option one or option two. I explained of if I wasn’t getting what the tour stated I would have been better off getting the bus which is £42 over a £300 tour which would do the same thing. They then advised me I was not being respectful to them and the itinerary. Therefore they were cancelling. Refused to refund so took £300 from for nothing. They did try to cancel on me a few days before stating they couldn’t accommodate the date of requested and booked. I advised I couldn’t do another day as I’m on a straight time schedule to which they then agreed to the tour which they fully knew they were never going to carry out. I paid for a service I never got and you have lied. This is fraudulent!

Response from the operator: You received a full refund for a tour that was cancelled due to the aggressive behavior and insults you directed at us via messages late at night. We are certain the root of your anger is that we, as a company, decided not to provide the tour because you are a difficult and confrontational person—something this review clearly demonstrates, given that nothing you are saying makes any sense. Your sole objective is to pick a fight. Our many 5-star reviews prove that the problem is not us; it is you.

Is Explore El Chaltén in a Day – Private Tour and good price worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 67 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in El Calafate, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Explore El Chaltén in a Day – Private Tour and good price?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Explore El Chaltén in a Day – Private Tour and good price suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Explore El Chaltén in a Day – Private Tour and good price?

    +

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in El Calafate can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in El Calafate and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in El Calafate?

    +

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit El Calafate?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in El Calafate?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
