    Unforgettable memories

Visiting Capri Island has been one of the relaxing activities. Going to the island by the boat it makes feel close to nature, the smell of the oceans and the waves add more excitement and more enjoyment. My TripAdvisor Miss. Anastasia was very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic in sharing information of areas such as the lighthouse, Faraglioni, Marina Piccola, Anacapri and Capri. Anastasia, thank you for sharing all the information; thank you for your help upon the arrival at Marina Grande. Hp travels was very organized and friendly.

Did not quite deliver its promises

Capri is beautiful (and busy) and we understand the difficulty of coordinating everything in such à context but frankly if I had been aware of all the waiting and lack of clarity I would not have taken this tour, which is not cheap. Madeleine was nice and the natural setting is beautiful but frankly I did not find it pleasurable. We did not even get our tasting of limoncelo by the way.

Response from the operator: Hi, We are sorry to hear about your experience, you should know that we work very day to do our best, hope to see you again to have a better experience! Kindly, Maria!

    Don’t use HP Travel.

Bad experience. Very unorganized and spent most of the day waiting. They combined other tours with different itineraries which caused problems. waited 45 minutes to even start on the island waiting for other tour people to arrive then still was waiting for our bus to even get started. As a result was given only 18 minutes in city of Capri for free time to shop, eat, go to bathroom. Very disappointing. Then they let people from a completely different tour company sit on our bus when we were hurrying back to the port for our boat trip, actually made an extra stop to drop them off somewhere creating more delays when trying to park and then get back out of parking area. As a result we were so late for the boat tour we had to get on quickly and one of our only 15 people was left behind on the dock. He was celebrating his 10-year anniversary and his wife had to go without him on the boat. Then no English spoken on the tour, it was German. Ugh don’t use this company. When we tried to ask questions or express concerns we were ignored.

Response from the operator: Dear Customer, We're sorry about your experience with us, Unfortunatelly sometimes the Island of Capri could be really crowded and chaotic and it becomes difficult to respect all the timings, We try every day to do our best in order to satisfy your experiences, thank you again for your feedback, it will help us improving our services. Underwhelming!

Overall, the trip was disappointing. Communication before the trip was good, however on reflection, the pick up time was too early. I appreciate traffic can be unpredictable but we were waiting around at the port, having arrived at 8.20am when the boat departure time was 9.15am. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to really sit or anywhere enticing enough to get coffee / anything else. Given that the majority of the people in our group were retirees, there appeared to be little consideration of this fact. On arriving to Capri at 10am, we all disembarked, only to get back on the exact same boat 15-20 mins later to do the boat ride which we’d expected to do later in the afternoon. Again, underwhelming and too many people on the boat. The visit to Anacapri was unfortunately a little redundant because it was so cloudy, the view was obscured which was no fault of the tour itself. It meant the chair lift option was not really worthwhile. Lunch recommendation was not particularly inviting and I’d recommend doing a quick Google search and heading to somewhere better. We went to Sciue' Sciue and it was incredible! Following Anacapri, we descended to Capri itself and by this point, we were feeling fatigued with the tour itinerary so did not go to the gardens and opted for free time, albeit this was only an hour. Most of the tour is spent on a boat or on a bus or waiting around breathing in fumes. Gerry and his female colleague (sorry name escapes me), were personable and doing perhaps a rather thankless job at times. Capri overall, in my opinion, is overrated. If the sun had shown its face, perhaps I may have felt slightly differently, but only by a margin. The icing on the cake was the final passenger drop off back in Naples. The vast majority of the group (mainly older retirees) expected to be dropped off by the Naples train station but due to the traffic, the driver thought it was suitable to open the door whilst stood in traffic and let the group out quite a way before the station - again, not accounting for peoples’ mobility needs. Our own drop off also fell short and we were dropped off on a main road opposite Castel Nuovo, no pavement or safe way to cross the road, with speeding traffic zooming past. It was completely inapppropriate and an unsafe place to do a drop off. It felt as if the drop offs were done at the driver’s convenience due to the traffic, as opposed to catering to passengers. It seemed sloppy and lazy. Unfortunate end to an average tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Neeta, thanks for spending your time writing a review for us. We feel really sorry about your disappointment. We tried to be the added value and our best. Thank you so much for letting us know, we will do everything we can to improve our excursions. Hope to see you again soon for a better experience. Kind Regards, Marlene.

Plan to start this trip early in the day.

Beautiful place, but very busy in tourist season. you have to get a very early morning ferry because they book you on a return trip when you buy your ticket over to Capri. So if you don’t get an early morning start you will only have an hour or two in Capri. Not enough time and the boat ride over and back from Sorrento is most of the trip. Which is nice enough too.

Explore Capri and Anacapri from Naples: Sea, City and Limoncello: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Explore Capri and Anacapri from Naples: Sea, City and Limoncello cost?

    +

Prices start at $119 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Explore Capri and Anacapri from Naples: Sea, City and Limoncello take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Explore Capri and Anacapri from Naples: Sea, City and Limoncello worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 68 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Capri and Anacapri from Naples: Sea, City and Limoncello?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Explore Capri and Anacapri from Naples: Sea, City and Limoncello suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Explore Capri and Anacapri from Naples: Sea, City and Limoncello?

    +

Around 24 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Explore Capri and Anacapri from Naples: Sea, City and Limoncello start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
