Great tour guide and beautiful tour
We had Harie as our tour guide and he was incredible so if you can ask for him, please do. We left the hotel early and we booked a group tour, but it was just the two of us in the end. It’s a long drive to Cameron Highlands but we had a breakfast stop on the way which was really needed. Harry is probably one of the best drivers I have ever had and he navigated the road so well and ensured we didn’t get stuck in traffic to make the most of our time. He also tailored the tour to us to make sure we spent more time seeing what we wanted to. He taught us a lot about all the places we went to even as we were driving along, which was really nice but also memorable. He was so friendly that he really made the day what it was and taught us a lot about Malaysia and the culture. We had a great time visiting all the different sites. The flower garden is like a garden centre and we asked to skip the bee farm so we had time to see the temple as we got stuck in really bad traffic heading back into Kuala Lumpur. If you do go to the temple just be aware of through a lot of monkeys so just keep your belongings tucked away. And make sure you wear comfortable shoes as there are a lot of stairs!

Great day with lots to see!
The drive from Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands was long, about 4 hours total, but our driver/guide made frequent stops so that it didn't feel that long. Rajash (spelling?) shared a lot of information whether it was history, nature, local lifestyle etc. One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of places are closed on Mondays (our trip was on a Monday). Due to this, we were not able to visit the tea plantation mentioned in the itinerary, but Rajash was able to change it to an alternate tea plantation, which turned out to be just fine. We had numerous stops along the way, and Rajash made sure we saw everything we wanted. Overall, a great day!

Great Destination Dreadful Guide
I can honestly say this would have to of been the worst experiences we have endured with Viator. The problem was the guide, not the actual trip. I wouldn’t know where to start, in fact I don’t think anyone would believe what happened, you couldn’t make it up. We have used Viator on various occasions and never had a problem. We decided not to do Batu Caves the last part of the trip as all we wanted was to get back to our hotel. The following day we did another trip through Viator, Malacca, great day and guide which is what you generally get.
Response from the operator: Dear June, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment you experienced during your recent tour. We deeply regret that the guide on your trip did not meet your expectations and caused such a negative impact on your overall experience. We understand the importance of having knowledgeable and customer-focused guides, and we are genuinely sorry for any inconvenience or frustration this may have caused. Your comments are valuable to us as we continuously strive to improve our services. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to restore your faith on your future travels. Safe travels!

Beautiful Cameron Valley and Batu Caves!
A wonderful day with Aris, my driver! He showed me all the beautiful sights on the itinerary. The Cameron Valley is gorgeous, and not to be missed on a trip to Kuala Lumpur. Try and avoid a Friday, as it is busy due to their holiday every Friday. Kind regards, Sue from Australia

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Explore Cameron Highlands: Full-Day Tour with Scenic Batu Caves: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuala Lumpur.
How much does Explore Cameron Highlands: Full-Day Tour with Scenic Batu Caves cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuala Lumpur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Explore Cameron Highlands: Full-Day Tour with Scenic Batu Caves take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuala Lumpur is not rushed.
Is Explore Cameron Highlands: Full-Day Tour with Scenic Batu Caves worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuala Lumpur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Cameron Highlands: Full-Day Tour with Scenic Batu Caves?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Explore Cameron Highlands: Full-Day Tour with Scenic Batu Caves suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Explore Cameron Highlands: Full-Day Tour with Scenic Batu Caves?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuala Lumpur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuala Lumpur and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Explore Cameron Highlands: Full-Day Tour with Scenic Batu Caves start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuala Lumpur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur?
+
On Outty we rank every Kuala Lumpur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sambal Streets Kuala Lumpur Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Genting Highland & Batu Cave Guided Day Tour (SIC/Shared Tour), Private Half-Day Batu Caves and Cutural Tour in Kuala Lumpur. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kuala Lumpur?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kuala Lumpur?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
