Best Historical Tour!
Enjoyed all the details Boris mentioned. He was accommodating to our needs, answered all our questions and added details beforehand.
Response from the operator: Dear Estela, thank you very much! It was my pleasure to be your guide! :)) Boris

Fascinating ramble through the Palace
We really enjoyed our experience walking around the old town of Split. Boris was a kind, interesting and thoughtful guide. I am a history buff and my partner is someone who refers to "rubble" for archaeology. Nonetheless, he pitched the talk really well to entertain both of us. My partner couldn't walk very well after a fall so Boris always made sure she could find a place to sit for parts of the tour. All in all, a very worthwhile tour and we have no hesitation in recommending any tour by Boris.
Response from the operator: Dear Julie and Sean, thank you very much! It was my pleasure to be your guide and to "lead" you through the past and present of Split. I am so happy to know you enjoyed the tour and hope to see you sometime again in Split! :))) Boris

Historic walking tour of split
Our guide adapted to our crazy travel schedule (flight delay) and adjusted the tour so that we could make it to our dinner reservations on time. The tour was beautiful and very informative. We highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Dear Sara, thank you for a nice review. I am glad that you managed to come to Split and that you enjoyed the tour! :)

Brilliant!!! The best tour we did!!!
We were recommended to take this tour at Croatian Tourist Office and we definitely didn`t regret! Walking tour is focused on Ancient and Medieval history of the Split but because we were so interested our guide, Boris, brilliant young person with great knowledge about various subjects and not just about the history, gave us great lesson about the more recent events in Croatian history. As a local guy he explained us also problems and concerns of the local community as well as some interesting controversies of the Croatian society in general. This was the best thing which we did on our vacation and Boris was the best guide which we ever had!! We did a lot of tours but this one, as we all agreed, was the best we did! Boris was very knowledgeable, fluent in English, friendly and patient with all of our questions which we had! Just amazing and we definitely recommend this to everyone who wants to know more about the Croatia and this part of the world in every possible sense! Thank you so much for everything Boris! We can`t wait to come back to Split and do this again with our friends as well! Griffith Family
Response from the operator: Dear Griffith family, thank you so much for this wonderful review!! I am so happy to know you enjoyed the tour! It was my pleasure to be your guide in Split and to tell you some interesting stories about my hometown! Hope to see you again when you come back!! :))) Boris

See Split with the best
We cannot speak highly enough of Boris. We booked a day tour of Split for our family of 5 (including 3 teenagers) and he managed to keep each one of us engaged and entertained! He is a true professional, articulate, with an immense knowledge of Split and it's history. He is a great communicator with a fantastic sense of humour. Definitely the best guide we've ever had (and not just in Croatia). If you are thinking of visiting Split and using a tiur guide, look no further than Pomalo Tours (Boris) Keep up the great work Boris. Robert & Diana
Response from the operator: Dear Robert & Diana, thank you so much! It was my pleasure to be a guide-host in Split to you and your family and I hope to see you again (Split or Melbourne)! I always try to give my guests the best experience they can have and these words are definitely great encouragement to continue to do so! Thank you very much! :))) Boris

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Experience Split With Local Professional Historian - Private: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.
How much does Experience Split With Local Professional Historian - Private cost?
+
Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Experience Split With Local Professional Historian - Private take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.
Is Experience Split With Local Professional Historian - Private worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Experience Split With Local Professional Historian - Private?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Experience Split With Local Professional Historian - Private suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Experience Split With Local Professional Historian - Private?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Experience Split With Local Professional Historian - Private start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Split?
+
On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Split?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Split?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
