    About this experience

We meet in central Florence at our Grape Tours office, please be around 15 minutes early to check in. In a small group of min 4 and max 8, we will head out in a comfortable coach and visit 3 wonderful family-owned, high-quality organic wineries in Chianti where we will be welcomed at each place to taste delightful wines (mainly Chianti & Super Tuscans), enjoying private visits at each place. You will learn heaps from your friendly English-speaking wine expert guide, taste at least 12 different wines during the day (generous pours) & enjoy an organic farm-to-table lunch to really take in the Tuscan flavors. Did we mention the views? Each winery is in a stunning location surrounded by grapevines, olive groves, cypress-lined lanes, and endless Tuscan rolling hills. This is a great tour for wine lovers but also amateurs who are curious to learn more or simply want to enjoy a great day out from Florence in the dazzling wine country.

    Wine passion

We had a wonderful time with Clemente. There were 8 in the group and we were comfortable and enjoyed meeting new tourists. The stories, passion, wine and cheese making information and trivia made a great day in Tuscony.

A Highlight of Our Florence Trip!

We had a fantastic experience on this wine and cheese tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence. From the moment the tour began, our guide, Quentin, made everyone feel welcome with his friendly personality, enthusiasm, and sense of humor. What really set this tour apart was Quentin's knowledge. He provided fascinating insights into the history of Florence and helped us better understand the region's wine and cheese traditions. Rather than simply serving samples, he explained the origins, production methods, flavor profiles, and proper pairings, which made the tasting experience much more meaningful and educational. We learned a great deal while still having plenty of fun. The wines and cheeses were excellent, and the pacing of the tour was perfect. There was plenty of time to enjoy each tasting, ask questions, and interact with the rest of the group. My wife and I especially enjoyed meeting six other travelers from different places, and by the end of the tour it felt more like a gathering of friends than a typical tourist activity. Quentin's passion for Florence, wine, and food was evident throughout the entire experience. His storytelling and local knowledge added depth and context that we would never have gained on our own. The combination of great wine, delicious cheese, interesting history, and wonderful company made this one of the highlights of our time in Florence. If you're looking for an experience that is both fun and informative, this tour is absolutely worth it. We left with a greater appreciation for Florence's culture and culinary traditions, along with some wonderful memories and new friends. Thank you, Quentin, for such a memorable day!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review, Tommy! We're thrilled your tour was one of the highlights of your time in Florence. I'll be sure to share your kind words with Quentin—he'll be delighted to know he made such a lasting impression. We hope to welcome you back for another Tuscan adventure someday! 🍷🧀

One of the Best Wine Tours We've Ever Experienced

Our wine tour with Grape Tours was one of the highlights of our trip and one of the best wine tours we've ever experienced. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and the wineries we visited were exceptional, offering incredible wines, beautiful scenery, and a genuine taste of the region. What made the experience even more special was meeting Rebecca. Her passion for wine, the local culture, and creating unforgettable experiences is evident in everything she does. She made us feel welcome from the moment we met her and shared so much knowledge about the area along the way. If you're visiting Tuscany, I can't recommend Grape Tours highly enough. It was an unforgettable experience that made our trip even more memorable.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Experience Chianti & Cheese w/ 3 wineries & dairy visit—max 8 pp cost?

    +

Prices start at $280 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Experience Chianti & Cheese w/ 3 wineries & dairy visit—max 8 pp take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Experience Chianti & Cheese w/ 3 wineries & dairy visit—max 8 pp worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 138 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

    Can I cancel or reschedule Experience Chianti & Cheese w/ 3 wineries & dairy visit—max 8 pp?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Experience Chianti & Cheese w/ 3 wineries & dairy visit—max 8 pp suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Experience Chianti & Cheese w/ 3 wineries & dairy visit—max 8 pp?

    +

Around 48 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
