Mohamed, the tour guide, not only excels with outstanding expertise and a palpable passion for Egypt and its antiquities, but also with his extremely friendly and courteous nature. Why does the column have such a shape? He can give an informed answer to all these partly non-specific questions and, if desired, even recommend literature on any topic and subtopic, no matter how specific. You can tell that he lives his profession with every fiber and is always careful to make the experience as pleasant as possible. His attention is expressed by the fact that he 'sprints ahead', as he puts it, to secure a good place in the shade, so that the guest can enjoy everything pleasantly even in the hottest heat.
