    Beautiful night at Massimo’s tabke

Wonderful time!! Massimo creates an intimate and relaxing evening. He clearly loves what he does - cooking, entertaining, and bringing people together. The food was wonderful, the table scape beautiful, and we left with new friends and a better understanding of what it is to be Venetian. Highly recommend!

A Magical Venetian Dinner at a Sailor’s Home

An unforgettable evening inside a beautiful old Venetian house filled with candles, antique wood, and authentic charm. We shared a wonderful dinner with people from different countries and instantly felt like friends. The seven courses were fantastic, paired with excellent wine and great music. Massimo, our Venetian sailor and talented cook, prepared an incredible focaccia and a delicious fresh salad we’ll never forget. It truly felt like stepping into the real Venice, far from the usual tourist experience. A night of genuine hospitality, friendship, and amazing food. We will definitely return!

The Most Authentic Dinner Experience in Venice

A true hidden gem in Venice. Massimo, a real Venetian sailor, welcomed us into his home in an ancient palace and created something unforgettable. We first met him in the street where he greeted us with a bottle of Prosecco and glasses, and strangers from distant places instantly became friends. Around his old wooden table, surrounded by candlelight, we shared incredible conversations, beautiful music, and truly sublime food. The menu was agreed beforehand, but he still surprised us with dishes you can only taste in real Venetian homes, never in restaurants. It felt like living the real Venice for one magical evening.Without any doubt, this was the best experience we had in Venice.

A Candlelit Venetian Feast with Strangers Who Became Friends

This was one of the most unforgettable nights we had in Venice. In a beautiful 500-year-old house, a Venetian sailor named Massimo hosts travelers for a candlelit dinner that feels like stepping into the real soul of the city. None of us knew each other at first, but soon the room was full of laughter, stories, and incredible aromas. Massimo kept us entertained while serving a wonderful seven-course dinner with fresh vegetables, homemade pasta, great cheeses, seafood, and old Venetian recipes you can truly taste only in a home. Wine flowed, the atmosphere was magical, and by the end we felt like friends sharing something special. If you want to discover the real Venice, don’t miss this dinner. Thank you, Massimo, for a magnificent night, we really discovered Venice with you

Experience A Traditional Sailor’s Supper In The Venetian Lagoon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Experience A Traditional Sailor’s Supper In The Venetian Lagoon cost?

    +

Prices start at $128 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Experience A Traditional Sailor’s Supper In The Venetian Lagoon take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Experience A Traditional Sailor’s Supper In The Venetian Lagoon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 42 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Experience A Traditional Sailor’s Supper In The Venetian Lagoon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Experience A Traditional Sailor’s Supper In The Venetian Lagoon suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Experience A Traditional Sailor’s Supper In The Venetian Lagoon?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Experience A Traditional Sailor’s Supper In The Venetian Lagoon start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
