The Kelpies & The Helix
The Kelpies are 100ft tall horse-head sculptures. Built 2013 between Falkirk and Grangemouth. The origins of the kelpie are believed to be rooted in human sacrifices to the water gods however this concept eventually died out and the story of the kelpie was then used to keep children from playing too near the lochs and dangerous rivers

Falkirk Wheel
The Falkirk Wheel is a rotating boat lift in Tamfourhill, Falkirk, in central Scotland, connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. It reconnects the two canals for the first time since the 1930s. It opened in 2002 as part of the Millennium Link project.

Stirling Castle
located in Stirling, is one of the largest and most historically and architecturally important castles in Scotland. The castle sits atop an intrusive crag, which forms part of the Stirling Sill geological formation. It is surrounded on three sides by steep cliffs, giving it a strong defensive position. Its strategic location, guarding what was, until the 1890s, the farthest downstream crossing of the River Forth, has made it an important fortification in the region from the earliest times.

Very nice tour
The tour of the Scottish Highlands was a real highlight. Our guide Derek has responded excellently to us and has made the tour very personal. Not only did we see impressive sights, but we also learned a lot about Scottish history. Highly recommended!

Recommend Alan
We were challenged with time to see all the amazing sights around Edinburgh. We booked a day tour to get to the highlights. Alan contacted us the day prior to plan a tour to suit us all. From the moment he picked us up in morning he made sure the day was tailored to us. And we set a challenge with many varied interests. He was incredibly knowable, showed a real love in the country and making it the best day for us. He even learnt about our later journey and continued to provide incredible recommendations for our trip. I recommend that you ask for Alan when booking. Best Tour Guide and experience of the lowlands we could have expected
We covered a lot of territory in one day and Ross was an excellent guide. He was very informative about the local area and what was available to see. He got us to each site we chose safely, comfortably, and efficiently. His suggestions for each area and foods were excellent, and we were able to experience Scottish culture and history up close. I wish we could have hired him for our whole trip to Scotland! Would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone who travels to Scotland and wants an excellent guide. Thank you, Ross!

The Perfect Day

No Better Guide!
Spent a magnificent day with Ross touring around the lowlands. We (6) were staying in Edinburgh, but there were a number of things outside of Edinburgh we needed a car to see, so we hired Ross to take us around. I could not believe how much he was able to get into our day by carefully planning the stops. Ross was very knowledgeable about Scotland and we had some great discussions as we traveled around. We enjoyed friendly banter, and it was just a fun, relaxed atmosphere all day. (A bonus is that Ross also takes great photos). I hope to make it back to Scotland someday, and if I do, Ross will be the first person I call to arrange a tour guide!
