Fun day!
Overall fun day. It was a lot more relaxed and chill of a day than expected, but it was nice. The first stop was Montoña Radonda mountain, where we walked around the peak for a bit and had lunch with the view. After some time up there, we went to Esmeralda beach, and it was just me and my husband. The whole entire beach was empty, it was awesome. If you happen to be the only ones booked for the day, you may get lucky and get a “private tour”. The beach was definitely the highlight. The only complaint we have is with the communication before and during the excursion. Our tour guide spoke zero English, and was not able to explain to us what was going on during the tour. We weren’t sure how much time we had at each location, and unsure of what to expect at each location. Having a tour guide who spoke at least some English would have made this experience 5 stars for me. Overall experience was an 8/10, and I would recommend it.

Expensive for what it is
The transfer and the driver were all good, no problems. The view of the round mountain is very beautiful, it has swings, hammocks and other things to do... now the bad begins... the driver argued to give us a glass of water (when he says it is included) the lunch is bad , rice with fish, chicken and salad... Place FULL of wasps, but FULL.... from there we went to the beach for 45 minutes (not an hour as it says). The beach is beautiful (nothing virgin, there is even a hotel) but the entrance is ugly and very small with a strange atmosphere. My girlfriend got some braids and they ripped her off... the mountain and the view are beautiful but for the price another tour is better... it's VERY EXPENSIVE for what it is... it's not worth it...
Response from the operator: Saludos. Entendemos que lo haya encontrado costoso, pero en la descripción específica claramente lo que incluye el precio. Con relación a las trenzas no es nuestra responsabilidad porque son servicios que se le pagan directamente a quienes los proporciona, no lo teníamos incluido. Feliz dia, Gracias!

Wow! highly recommend this tour company!
This tour was amazing. From the moment I got picked up to the moment I left I had a great time. Our tour was on a Tuesday at 7:30am and we were lucky that our group was only about 5 people. Since it was a weekday, we felt like everything was very peaceful and like we had the whole beach and mountain to ourselves. Highly recommend booking on a weekday to avoid crowds. Since our group was small, we were able to travel in an air conditioned van and then switched to 4 wheel drive safari truck to go up the mountain. The drive from our hotels were about an hour. Robinson (tour guide) and Domingo (driver) were very welcoming and entertaining. They made us feel safe throughout the entire ride. I was traveling solo so Robinson offered to take awesome pictures of me, but there’s also photographers on the mountain to take pictures of you for an affordable price. The drive up the mountain was definitely bumpy, but it was fun! The food was so yummy too. The mountain was incredible. The beach was also incredible. It felt like a private beach when we went. Finally, we ended our trip with some car karaoke and sang to Dominican classics, as well as bill withers, Whitney Houston, funky town, girls just wanna have fun. Highly highly recommend this tour company! It was the highlight of my trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your feedback.we're glad to know you enjoyed it. this is our greatest satisfaction.

Great experience, welcoming and friendly
This excursion was beautiful. Our tour guide made us feel safe and kept us hydrated. The ride up the mountain was scary but he sang songs and made us laugh to distract us.

Super experience
The panoramic views from the top of the mountain were stunning. We were able to appreciate the beauty of the island, including the white sand beaches and the crystal clear ocean waters. Recommended!!!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Excursion to Montaña Redonda and Playa Esmeralda from Punta Cana: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Excursion to Montaña Redonda and Playa Esmeralda from Punta Cana cost?
+
Prices start at $119 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Excursion to Montaña Redonda and Playa Esmeralda from Punta Cana take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Excursion to Montaña Redonda and Playa Esmeralda from Punta Cana worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Excursion to Montaña Redonda and Playa Esmeralda from Punta Cana?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Excursion to Montaña Redonda and Playa Esmeralda from Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Excursion to Montaña Redonda and Playa Esmeralda from Punta Cana?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Excursion to Montaña Redonda and Playa Esmeralda from Punta Cana start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
