Best day in Portugal
We had such a great time with Max today on a private boat tour of the caves in Lagos. It was the best experience of our entire trip to Portugal! Max was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. He made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal, and he clearly knows the caves and coastline extremely well. The boat was very comfortable, and he provided a great picnic lunch, wine, and music of our choice. Sitting on the boat, taking in the incredible scenery, exploring the caves, and enjoying good food, wine, and music made for an unforgettable day. We did a private tour and absolutely loved it, but I think it would also be fantastic with another couple or a few couples. It would be a great experience to share. We would absolutely recommend Max to anyone visiting Lagos. If you’re looking for a memorable experience on the Algarve, you won’t go wrong with Max!

September and October are also the time of year when we welcome the most couples on board. The season is a little calmer, and somehow the boat naturally becomes a place for couples to slow down and enjoy being together. But as you said, this is absolutely an experience meant to be shared with friends and with family. And I have to say, I loved your energy. There was a warmth and an ease about both of you that made the day feel very natural, and I genuinely felt a special connection with you. I especially remember the moment I poured the wine and you raised your glass and said “L'chaim”, in your own way. Those are the little moments that stay with me long after the boat comes back to shore. Thank you, Terry and Ellen, for bringing your wonderful smiles aboard and for sharing a little piece of your Portugal journey with me. I hope the sea gave you something to take home with you. Best Experience of my Life!
This was one of the most special and unforgettable anniversary celebrations we have ever had! The host (Max) went above and beyond expectations in every way to make things feel spectacular. He was very clear in his communications of where to park, where to meet, etc. He was very knowledgeable about all there was to see out on the water. I would overall rate this trip 11 out of 10 with no complaints. Worth every penny! In future i will always book with Algarve Onboard

best honeymoon cruise ever!!
Our experience on Captain Max’s boat was fantastic! He made our every wish come true, took us up close to see all of the rock structures and gave us history and geological background throughout. We told him it was our honeymoon and he made sure to give us extra time and make the picnic portion extra romantic with Italian music :) we will 100% be back on Captain Max’s boat with him and Gabriel and would recommend this to everyone we know!!

Birthday Sunday vibes
Wow, Max is certainly the perfect entertainer & host. From his fantastic energy & positive vibes, his picnic was very yummy, the kids adored it. The Ponte da Piedade & Alvor Sand banks tour is highly recommended. Gabriel his crew was also a delight, always smiling & clearly enjoy his time at sea.
