Best way to experience the coast!
This private boat tour with Francesco was hands down the BEST experience of our trip to Italy. Everything was absolutely beautiful — the views, the water, the scenery, the skipper — it honestly felt surreal. Such a relaxing and unforgettable way to experience the coast with family. The whole day exceeded our expectations, and we’re already talking about how much we miss it. Could not recommend this tour with Francesco enough! He is the best!!!

Best day of our trip!
We booked a 7-hour boat tour around Capri with Francesco & it was easily a highlight of our whole trip! He was professional, responsive, and very accommodating with schedule changes. Booking & boarding was easy. He stayed in close contact beforehand to help us navigate to the marina & meeting point.(especially since we did not speak Italian). The day was very well organized, he had prosecco waiting onboard, took us to great swimming and sightseeing spots around the island, made stops to Positano, and also made lunch reservations at Conca del Sogno near Sorrento. (Highly recommend!!) Overall, the experience felt seamless and relaxed. Francesco was knowledgeable, enjoyable to spend the day with, and helped us capture some great photos along the way. We would absolutely recommend booking with him while visiting Capri.

10/10
Francesco was an amazing captain. Everything was seamless and stress-free from start to finish. My friend and I had such a fun day on the water. We were able to visit the Blue Grotto with little wait, had a great lunch in Capri, and enjoyed swimming in the most beautiful spots. He also went above and beyond to make the day feel special. Highly recommend!

10/10 boat day
The tour itself was absolutely perfect, but Captain Francesco truly made the experience. His knowledge of the area, fun personality, and attention to every detail made the day enjoyable from start to finish. He made sure we were comfortable, well positioned for photos and having a great time, which really stood out. I highly recommend booking with Francesco—you won’t be disappointed.

Sunset private tour
One of the highlights of our trip! Francesco was amazing! My girlfriends and I had a blast. He was very attentive, informative and showed us the most beautiful spots along the coast. He’s also a great photographer for the group pictures! The sunset was breathtaking. Bring a jacket or blanket if you’re doing a tour later in the day. Highly recommend this tour with Francesco!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Exclusive Boat Tour of Capri and Blue Grotto: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sorrento.
How much does Exclusive Boat Tour of Capri and Blue Grotto cost?
+
Prices start at $571 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sorrento usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Exclusive Boat Tour of Capri and Blue Grotto take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sorrento is not rushed.
Is Exclusive Boat Tour of Capri and Blue Grotto worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sorrento, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Exclusive Boat Tour of Capri and Blue Grotto?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Exclusive Boat Tour of Capri and Blue Grotto suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Exclusive Boat Tour of Capri and Blue Grotto?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sorrento can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sorrento and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Exclusive Boat Tour of Capri and Blue Grotto start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sorrento within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sorrento?
+
On Outty we rank every Sorrento experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pizza School with Wine and Limoncello Tasting in a Local Farm, Private Amalfi Coast Day Tour from Sorrento or Naples, Sorrento Farm and Food Experience including Olive Oil, Limoncello, Wine tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sorrento?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sorrento?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
