Highly Recommend for a ghoulish time!
Our ghost hunt was such a great experience! Our guide was leading her first tour by herself, and she did a wonderful job. Clinton was also fantastic and stepped in to assist whenever needed, which made us feel comfortable throughout the investigation. We really appreciated the education on all of the equipment and being given the opportunity to investigate on our own rather than simply being led around. They gave us the freedom to explore and try things ourselves while still being there to guide us whenever we needed help. We had some great results at Sachs Bridge and Eisenhower Bridge, which made the experience even more exciting! 👻 We learned a lot, had a great time, and really enjoyed being able to participate in the investigation ourselves. Overall, it was an awesome experience and one we would definitely recommend to anyone interested in paranormal investigation! 👻🔦 We will be back to Gettysburg very soon and plan on going on another ghost tour with After Dark Investigations!

Hands on with a knowledgeable Guide
My 15 year old granddaughter and I had a great experience, using multiple ghost hunting gadgets and tools. She was impressed to have hands-on time with the tools she had seen used on her favorite you tube ghost hunting shows. We spent about 90 minutes in each of two haunted indoor locations along with our investigator-guide, and 4 other guests. We heard spooky real life experiences from our guide, and some history as well. All in the group had a fun time, and had some unexplained events.

Family vacation to Hershey, Gettysburg
We booked with after dark after a not very good experience with a different company. I did feel like it was a little pricey but it is targeted at tourists. I was a little leary of the meeting spot but that worked out fine. Our group was 11 people. Our guide was Malcolm and he told us about each spot and about the equipment. He said we could work together or separately. Mostly people worked separately as other people on the tour brought their own equipment. We didn't have much activity except at Eisenhower Bridge when the rem(?) Pod kept going off so I asked if we could do a group session and he said yes. Then we did get quite a bit of activity. I do wish we had done more together but like I said other people had their own equipment.
Response from the operator: Hi. Thank you for your review. Our investigators are there to please. We do a lot of group investigations but if we have groups of two, sometimes they go off alone. I also like group sessions because it seems to get attention.

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Evening Investigation - Small Group Gettysburg: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gettysburg.
How much does Evening Investigation - Small Group Gettysburg cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gettysburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Evening Investigation - Small Group Gettysburg take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gettysburg is not rushed.
Is Evening Investigation - Small Group Gettysburg worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 154 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Gettysburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Evening Investigation - Small Group Gettysburg?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Evening Investigation - Small Group Gettysburg suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Evening Investigation - Small Group Gettysburg?
+
Around 54 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gettysburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gettysburg and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Evening Investigation - Small Group Gettysburg start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gettysburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Gettysburg?
+
Gettysburg is a guide town: licensed battlefield guides in your own car, bus and horseback battlefield tours, ghost lantern walks and museum entries covering the three-day battle. On Outty we rank every Gettysburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2-Hour Gettysburg Battlefield Guided History Bus Tour with a National Park Guide, Spirits of Jennie Wade Ghost Night Tour in Gettysburg, Echoes of War All Ages Ghost Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Gettysburg?
+
April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Gettysburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
