A must during your stay in Delhi
The whole experience was the highlight of our stay in Delhi. Pradeep was so knowledgable and he took us to places we would never have seen. We ate amazing food and he even took us to a Sikh temple where we put to work as hundreds of people came in to be fed. I cannot recommend this enough as a unique and wonderful experience.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing such a beautiful review! We’re delighted to know that the evening food tour was a highlight of your time in Delhi. Introducing our guests to hidden local food spots and meaningful cultural experiences—like visiting the Sikh temple community kitchen—is very close to our hearts. We’re so glad you enjoyed the food, the stories, and the chance to participate in something truly local and special. Thank you for your heartfelt recommendation. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to see you again someday. Warm regards, Pradeep – Founder, Delhi by Locals

An absolute must to improve your Delhi experience
We were nervous due to an incident in the area we were supposed to visit the day before and our guide, predeep took this on board and instantly changed The itinerary. We had the most wonderful experience and appreciated his wealth of knowledge and kindness very much.

More than a food tour
What a truly fantastic tour with our guide Salman, not just an experience in local foods but a true insight into magical old Delhi and it's rich culture and history. Experience the many forms of transport to be found and how local people work and live. A very honest and humbling experience, beautiful tastes and aromas from every angle and a true privilege to meet local people and not only be welcomed but included. Thank you Salman

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Evening Food Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Evening Food Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Evening Food Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Evening Food Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 90 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Evening Food Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Evening Food Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Evening Food Tour?
+
Around 31 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Evening Food Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
