The unforgettable thrill to enjoy the sunset dune ride !!!

We experience the thrills of the dunes and witness spectacular views of the sunset during our Desert Safari Tour. Our driver named Afridi make our dune ride exciting & thrilling .The performance of fire show were very good. The food was delicious and we were really full. Of course, we also had to try camel riding which we have a good picture …the campsite was big and clean . at the end of the activity I love the fireworks …

Response from the operator: We are absolutely delighted to hear about your thrilling adventure during the Desert Safari Tour! It brings us great joy to know that you enjoyed the exhilarating dune rides, the breathtaking sunset views, and the exciting performances—especially the fire show and fireworks that added magic to your evening. A special shout-out to Afridi, your skilled driver, who made your dune bashing experience both thrilling and memorable. We’re proud to have such passionate professionals on our team! We’re also thrilled that you loved the delicious food, the unique camel riding experience, and the spacious, clean campsite. Your satisfaction is our greatest reward, and we’re so glad you left with full hearts (and stomachs!) along with beautiful pictures to cherish. Thank you for choosing us for your desert adventure—we’d be honored to welcome you back for another unforgettable experience in the dunes!

Think again before booking…

Specifically booked this one as it had the option not to do dune bashing, and thought we would be spending time in the desert! What we got was hours in a crammed jeep on the motorway, picking up other people we dont know (fair enough to share the ride) but we were forced to sit and have dinner with them too?! After a long drive, we arrived at stop 1, where you can quad bike round on a small area or sand for extra price, and hounded to buy a scarf, so we stood around and waiting for half an hour as no one wanted to pay for quad biking because thats not what we booked anyway! Driven out onto the desert, driver then dune bashes for a short while without any choice, we were in the very back of the geep with 6 of us in total, I banged my head twice on the roof of the car, We then stop for photos, the only good part of this whole trip, that was a lovely 10 mins, got some great photos, Driver starts dropping hints to leave a 5 star review for him… Another 30 minute drive in traffic, stopped and had to get out on the side of the road while he inflates and cleans the sand out of his car…great desert experience… Taken to camp, you can have a 1 minute free camel ride in the car park or pay for a 10 minute one with a photo…skip Offered sand boarding, which we all said yes to, and then nothing?! Taken to out table, a rocky box on the floor with bean bags, told we have to sit all round the same table- here as a couple and awkwardly having to sot round a table with the strangers who shared the pick up, Told you have to watch 2 shows and then you can eat the dinner, or you can pay to eat now at a proper table, we waited, paid for a shisha and a couple of drinks, no free drinks offered? Even though it says soft drinks and tea/coffee included Dinner was thrown onto the plate as we qued for the buffet treated as the poor people who did not upgrade to eat straight away, felt like we were trapped at a tourist tent to try make the most of it until we could get taken home. Im shocked I even ate the food there- bbq was 3 small bits of meat not choice Went for the henna, could barely see the options for the free design, but I chose and got a nice design that I paid 50dirhams for, she was sweet. Then the driver took us out the back if the tent and time to go home, long drive again, best part was luckily he dropped us to our hotel first so we didnt have to endure anymore of sitting in the car dropping off at the other guests hotels Its a shame as I was bought this experience as an early Christmas present and now my sister feels really bad about getting it for us, you also waisted almost a whole day out of our 5 day trip to dubai, this is not as advertised and poorly treated

Response from the operator: Dear Guest please recheck . you book your safari with whom . may be you got wrong link for review . please send us safari guide name and Details . thanks we are waiting for your reply . thank you

Evening Desert Safari: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubai.

How much does Evening Desert Safari cost?

+

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Evening Desert Safari take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubai is not rushed.

Is Evening Desert Safari worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Evening Desert Safari?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Evening Desert Safari suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Evening Desert Safari?

+

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubai and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Evening Desert Safari start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dubai?

+

On Outty we rank every Dubai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubai Premium Red Dunes Safari, Camels & 5* BBQ at Al Khayma Camp, Dubai: Red Dunes Safari, Quad, Camel, Dune Bash, BBQ & Shows, Dubai Dune Buggy Safari Tour in Red Dunes Options. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dubai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dubai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
