Lovely boat trip with beautiful views

Amazing boat trip!! I went during August with a group of friends and we had an amazing time. Our guide (I think his name is Dino but I’m sorry if I’ve spelt that wrong!) was really friendly and helpful. We stopped at trogir which was a lovely old town, for an hour, then we went to the blue lagoon where there was an hour to swim and a cocktail boat which made piña coladas for €12. Our final stop was a beautiful area of water surrounded by trees/ apartments which was so beautiful at sunset. The energy on the boat was great, as there was good music playing. There was water and snorkels (with goggles and snorkel) available to use. We sat in the back at a shaded area (which seats 4 people) but there were 4 other passenger seats at the front. Our friend who doesn’t swim was able to stay on the boat whilst we swam, but our guide did offer her a life jacket if she wanted it, and there were lots of pool noodles as well. Overall, we felt very safe and comfortable, and had a really fun time. I would recommend this trip to anyone 😁🙏 thanks again!!

    Great! Very worth the money

It was great! Had so much fun with my friends even though the weather was windier than it said, the ride was fun and the scenery was beautiful. The trip to Trogir alone was worth it and the snorkel locations were amazing.

Great way to escape the heat of Split

This was such a fabulous trip. It was great to escape the heat of the city. The wind blew through our hair and we were instantly cooled down, as well as two fantastic swimming spots. Toni our guide was friendly, laid back and helpful. He provided us with snorkels and noodles, so we could relax easily in the water. Jumping in is also optional, as there are steps that can be used to get off and on the boat easily. We were a family of four, my children are 16 and 10 and my husband who isn’t a strong swimmer…we all thoroughly enjoyed this trip and would recommend it.

Worst system for finding / boarding your boat in the history of excursions ever

Arrived at the agreed upon meeting spot 15 min early Asked each boat captain as they arrived iif they were Ivan or if they knew where he was Not one captain ever announced who they were or who they were looking for We we waited for 20 min before i I realized that Ivan had sent a message through the app that he was leaving us behind We were a group of 5 so don’t know how he missed us It is a terrible free for all at the dock with no rhyme or reason to how people knew which boat to board I saw Ivan’s message 2 min after he left and could see all the boats leaving but he would not come back for us He claimed he had called out for us so loudly that all of a mile around could have heard him But not one person in the area did such a thing As we were a large group and not one of us heard him that had to be impossible Would highly NIOT recommend this excursion Asked Viator twice for our money back and was told it was at the discretion of the boat captain if we got our money back and as he had left us behind he of course denied our request. Now I am out almost 400$ because of the chaos of the docks boarding system

Response from the operator: We are sorry that you were unable to join the tour. You received detailed meeting instructions in advance, including the exact meeting point, a map link, photos of the location, a photo of the boat, the boat registration, and clear instructions to arrive between 08:50 and 09:00 AM. We have been operating this tour for over 7 years, and it is extremely rare for guests who arrive on time to have any difficulty finding the boat. The meeting point is a small dock, not a large port terminal. Guests who arrive at the correct meeting point during boarding are clearly visible to our skipper! We were at the meeting point from 08:45 until 09:10 AM, waiting an additional 10 minutes after the scheduled boarding time. During that time, all other guests boarded successfully. We also contacted you through the Viator chat at 09:02 and 09:05, but your first reply was received at 09:13, after the boat had already departed. As this was a shared tour, we could not delay the departure any longer. We even offered you the opportunity to join the tour later in Trogir, but this option was not accepted. Your refund request was declined based on the documented communication in the Viator chat and in accordance with our booking and cancellation policy. The messages clearly show that the arrival times stated in your Viator chat, refund request, and review are not consistent with each other. Furthermore, you also attempted to obtain a refund by claiming that the skipper did not show up. However, this claim is clearly contradicted the documented communication in the Viator chat and by the guests who boarded the tour and witnessed us waiting for you.

Amazing Small-Group Boat Trip for Swimming and Fun

We had a fantastic day trip! We were looking for a smaller group experience with just a few other people, focused on swimming and having fun rather than joining a crowded mega-boat tour or falling into tourist traps. The trip was very well organised and professionally run. The captain was friendly and welcoming, and the schedule was perfect. He provided pool noodles for swimming and snorkelling equipment, which made the stops even more enjoyable. There were even small local boats with bartenders selling cocktails, which was such a unique experience! We went on a Sunday, departing at 12 pm and returning to port around 5 pm after visiting two beautiful swimming spots and stopping in Trogir for a coffee and some food. I would absolutely recommend this trip over the larger operators offering similar tours at a similar price. It felt much more personal and flexible, and we had such a great time.

Escape from Split to Blue lagoon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.

How much does Escape from Split to Blue lagoon cost?

    +

Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Escape from Split to Blue lagoon take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.

Is Escape from Split to Blue lagoon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 45 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Escape from Split to Blue lagoon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Escape from Split to Blue lagoon suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Escape from Split to Blue lagoon?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Escape from Split to Blue lagoon start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Split?

    +

On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Split?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Split?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
