    What you'll see and do

    1. Fiesole

Thanks to its elevated position, Fiesole has always been one of the most popular places for Florentines and tourists to enjoy the view over Florence and the Arno valley, but also to look out over the wonderful Tuscan countryside that surrounds the village. Fiesole is only 4 miles away from the center of Florence but outside the city, making it the best starting point to really explore the Tuscan countryside without going too far from the town but away from crowded places.

    2. Florence

The hilltop town of Fiesole has panoramic views of Florence away from the crowds. The Renaissance City and all her vibrant terracotta rooftops and towers are as visible atop Fiesole, as they are if you were standing at Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence itself, only with far fewer people admiring her gorgeous view.

    4. Santuario di Montesenario

Depending on the season, we will reach a monastery still inhabited by monks at an altitude of over 800m (2600ft). We will cross the path of the Via degli dei, the ancient Via Flaminia Minor, the Etruscan road that crossed the Apennines mountains at least 200 years BC, today Popular Historical & Scenic Hiking Trail.

      30 minutes here

    5. Settignano

    Awesome Excursion

First off, our guide Massi was great. Ready for us when we arrived at the meeting point (about 15 minutes outside the city). Prepared in case of rain, had bug spray, extra water, anything we needed. The bikes were in good shape and he took the time to ensure they and the helmet fit properly. Really interesting ride through the town and provided some amazing views. Massi knew a ton about Tuscany and all the Interesting areas most tourists don’t go but should if given a chance. We always felt safe and comfortable with him. The tastings at the end were all delicious and fresh. We did the afternoon /evening tour and believe it made the experience all the better as you got sunset up in the hills. Really can’t say enough good things about both Massi and the tour. You definitely should do this if you can.

Wonderful ride on the picturesque hills of Tuscany

This was an incredible breathtaking tour in the hills of Tuscany. There are many climbs on the bike and so I recommend it for people with a little bit experience navigating hills and downhills. Giovanni our guide was incredible. Friendly and helpful assuring we had a safe and superb time! The lunch was delicious and refreshing. Highly recommend.

THE BEST Bike tour - certainly worth the money

Giovanni is an excellent guide. Upon meeting he made sure the helmets were fitting correctly and that everyone was comfortable on their bike. The first part of the tour was around Fiesole itself with lots of information on the history, and then we got onto the roads in the area. He was always checking that everyone was OK and indicated to us when there was a hill coming up (likewise going down) so that we could adjust our gears accordingly. we stopped off at a wee market and were given hunks of local cheese to try (even being a non-cheese lover I could tell it was good) We then stopped at a farm shop to pick up the ingredients for lunch, then cycled on to another farm - our lunch venue where wine was taken straight from the vat. Giovanni then prepared lunch for us and when finished we completed our tour back to the start. it was a full morning (+lunch), so well worth the money. I would thoroughly recommend Giovanni - this is more than a tour, you feel his passion and love for the area.ac

An absolute MUST while visiting Florence

What an amazing experience, top to bottom! First and foremost, Giovanni is a true gem! He takes such great care to ensure you are having a good time, that you are safe and that everything is as planned. I have done tons of bike tours in various Countries, he was the best guide I have ever had. Then the bike ride is amazing, and a great getaway from the City with tons of beautiful scenery. Finally, the farm lunch is delicious and unbelievably picturesque. 10 out of 10 across the board!!

    Unbelievably Beautiful, Perfect Day

This was the absolute highlight of a trip that was already filled with amazing experiences. Giovani is an excellent guide who takes a lot of care to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. He is native to the area and well educated on the history of all the places he takes you. You always hear how beautiful the Tuscan countryside is, but no photos can ever do it justice. It is truly a magical place and seeing it outside by bike is so much better than just driving. The stops at the farm and winery were pleasant and peaceful - and the food was very fresh and satisfying without being too heavy. The e-bikes were high quality and made it possible to travel comfortably on the very hilly terrain. One thing to know is that even though the e-bikes help a *lot*, and Giovani builds in regular breaks - the tour is still a significant workout and the bikes must be pedaled. You don’t need to be an athlete at all, but you do need to be generally healthy and fit to complete the ride. But otherwise, you should not hesitate to book this tour. It is incredible and worth every dime!

Escape Florence Crowds Local Tuscany Life E-Bike Max 4 Only: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Escape Florence Crowds Local Tuscany Life E-Bike Max 4 Only cost?

    +

Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Escape Florence Crowds Local Tuscany Life E-Bike Max 4 Only take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Escape Florence Crowds Local Tuscany Life E-Bike Max 4 Only worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 91 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Escape Florence Crowds Local Tuscany Life E-Bike Max 4 Only?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Escape Florence Crowds Local Tuscany Life E-Bike Max 4 Only suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Escape Florence Crowds Local Tuscany Life E-Bike Max 4 Only?

    +

Around 32 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Escape Florence Crowds Local Tuscany Life E-Bike Max 4 Only start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
