Your first stop is the War Cemetery (Donrak) is situated adjacent to Saeng Chuto Road which is the main road through the town. After the end of World War II, the cemetery at Don Rak became the final resting place for many of those who had been forced to endure the brutal conditions imposed by the Japanese army during the construction of the Thailand to Burma railway. The history of the bridge is well known, as it was part of the railway lines in World War II and had seen its share of conflict and bloodshed. After World War II, the damaged bridge was renovated by the Thai government in 1946.

Continue to Erawan National Park, where you can relax, explore the lush surroundings, and enjoy free time to swim in the crystal clear waterfalls. It is the most popular falls in the country. The major attraction of the park is the 7-tiered Erawan Falls with emerald green ponds. There are also several impressive and long caves within the park, some of them deeper inside the park, few of them along the roads around the park. The park and the falls are named after the three-headed white elephant of Hindu mythology. The top tier of the falls is said to resemble an elephant head. Very interesting and funny tour
Our guide Vivi and our driver Sam (Mr. Fast and Furious) have been lovely to us and the day was so funny and special. We are grateful for this day and all the experiences. Especially the history about the Death Railway and Bridge over the River Kwai including the ride with the Train from Kanchanaburi to Thamkra Sae was so interesting. We have learned a lot about Thailand. And the waterfall was the pefect ending of this special day. Thank you so much!
