Over the top fun!
Everything as great! The course itself(!), the sign up process, the instructions and esp the guides. They were great.
Response from the operator: "Over the top fun" is right! Glad everything hit the mark — from booking to the safety briefing to the actual flight. Our guides take a lot of pride in making the Zipline Tour at Highline Adventures an incredible experience from start to finish, so hearing they stood out means a lot. If you loved soaring across 7,500+ feet of dual ziplines over the Santa Ynez Valley, come back and try the Adventure Park next — 65+ aerial challenges up in the oak tree grove, right here in Buellton near Santa Barbara. Thanks for the 5 stars!

Loved it
It’s so much fun, the staff are great and they make it so enjoyable. They had water at every stop and explained what cool things were around as well
Response from the operator: Samantha, that's what our guided Zipline Tour is all about! Our guides don't just clip you in and send you flying — they walk you through the whole Santa Ynez Valley landscape along the way, pointing out the vineyards, mountains, and wildlife you're soaring over. And yes, staying hydrated matters when you're out on 7,500+ feet of dual ziplines in the California sun! Glad the team made it a great day at Highline Adventures. If you're ever back in Buellton near Santa Barbara, bring the crew for the Adventure Park — 65+ aerial challenges through our oak tree grove, completely self-guided so you explore at your own pace. Thanks for the 5 stars!

So fun!
I planned to take my boyfriend zip lining for his birthday! We had such a great time. We felt safe and secure the whole time. Our guides Daniel and Britany were so fun and helpful. We had great conversations with them and they truly made the experience a lot more fun! I would highly recommend trying out the zip lines! Thank you!
Response from the operator: Happy birthday to your boyfriend — a Zipline Tour at Highline Adventures is one of the best ways to celebrate! So glad you both felt safe and secure the whole time — that's our number one priority, and it lets you focus on the fun of soaring side by side on our 3 dual ziplines over the Santa Ynez Valley. Daniel and Britany are awesome — the kind of guides who turn a great experience into an unforgettable one. Those conversations between the lines are honestly what makes our guided zipline tour in Buellton different from anything else near Santa Barbara. When you're looking for the next celebration, check out our Adventure Park — 65+ challenges through the oak tree grove, plus our Sunset and Moonlight Zipline tours are perfect for a date night. Thanks for choosing Highline Adventures for the birthday, Lianne!

Flying for all ages!!
So fun and great for kids and adults alike!! I have a fear of roller coasters, but there was no drop, just a great feeling of flying and freedom. I live near by and can’t wait to go again!
Response from the operator: Christine, "flying and freedom" — you nailed it. That's exactly what our Zipline Tour feels like, and we hear it all the time from guests who are nervous about roller coasters or heights. There's no stomach drop on our dual ziplines — just a smooth, incredible ride soaring over the Santa Ynez Valley with views for miles. Love that you're local! Our neighbors are some of our favorite guests at Highline Adventures. Next time you visit us outside of Solvang, try the Adventure Park — 65+ aerial challenges up in the oak tree grove at your own pace. And keep an eye out for our Moonlight Zipline under the full moon — it's a completely different experience after dark. See you soon, neighbor!

The nerves will get you...
The nerves will get you at the first line, which Is the longest in the state, but once you get going you just feel like you’re flying and you can take in the gorgeous views. After that the rest of the lines are just fun and exciting, especially the last line, which is the steepest and the fastest in the state. Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made it a great experience.
Response from the operator: Susan, that first line gets everyone! But here's the secret — you don't even have to jump. Our guides release you so you don't have to do a thing except enjoy the ride. Before you know it, you're soaring 3,360 feet across the longest zipline in California and wondering what you were ever nervous about. And then the last line hits you with the steepest, fastest ride in the state to close it out. That's how we designed the Zipline Tour at Highline Adventures — all the thrill, none of the pressure. Glad our guides made it such a great experience. That's the beauty of a fully guided tour — they handle everything so you can focus on the gorgeous Santa Ynez Valley views below. Next time you're near Santa Barbara, come back to Buellton and try the Adventure Park — 65+ aerial challenges through the oak tree grove at your own pace. See you out here!

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Epic Zipline Tour near Santa Barbara: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santa Barbara.
How much does Epic Zipline Tour near Santa Barbara cost?
+
Prices start at $155 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santa Barbara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Epic Zipline Tour near Santa Barbara take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santa Barbara is not rushed.
Is Epic Zipline Tour near Santa Barbara worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 270 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santa Barbara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Epic Zipline Tour near Santa Barbara?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Epic Zipline Tour near Santa Barbara suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Epic Zipline Tour near Santa Barbara?
+
Around 95 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santa Barbara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santa Barbara and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Epic Zipline Tour near Santa Barbara start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santa Barbara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santa Barbara?
+
Santa Barbara runs wine tours into the Santa Ynez Valley, harbour sailing and whale watching, Channel Islands day trips, and Spanish colonial walking tours through the Presidio and Mission. Tasting-room access and group size make the biggest difference in wine tours here. On Outty we rank every Santa Barbara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Santa Barbara Electric Bike Tour, Kayak Tour of Santa Barbara with Experienced Guide, Small-Group Wine Tour in Santa Barbara to Exclusive Vineyards. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santa Barbara?
+
March to June and September to November, dodging the May and June marine layer. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santa Barbara?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
