Ephesus Explained

We had a great tour of the House of the Virgin Mary and Ephesus with our guide Seyhan. He was knowledgeable and was open to questions while giving us free time to explore. Buffet lunch was delicious ! If you come to Kusadasi, this tour is a must!

A fantastic day.

I was signposted to Castle Tours by my hotel (Otel Derici in Kusadasi). Castle Tours were really helpful and professional in their email communications before the tour. They confirmed my tour details with the hotel reception the day before my booking. On the morning of the tour, they arrived promptly and the lovely Seyhan and his driver took our group to all of the stops on the tour. This was everything I expected/wanted. I went specifically to Kusadasi for this tour and it ticked every box for me. I went to The House of the Virgin Mary, Ephesus, Temple of Artemis, shops and a local lunch. It was reassuring to have Seyhan with us as I was a solo female traveler. He also recommended shops, beaches and gave me some tips on speaking Turkish. I would highly recommend this tour and I would say, if you are travelling alone, doing the tour early in your trip helps you to get your bearings of the area. I intend to return to Turkey with friends. I can't wait to show them what I've seen. Thank you Castle Tours.

Emotional and peaceful tour

It was kind of emotional to walk through the ruins of Ephesus. My guide Harum was amazing. He makes you feel as if you were living in the ancient times. He is very detail oriented, I was able to visualize Ephesus as it really was thousands of years ago. Also emotional and peaceful was the visit to the house of the Virgin Mary. Whether you are catholic or not, there is an energy in that place no one can miss. I am happy I took this tour, I loved my guide Harun. I recommend him to every one.

Amazing tour

I went to Turkey with the intent to see Ephesus and the house of the Virgin Mary. I was fascinated by what it is still left of the ancient city. The tour guide was fantastic. He transported me to the Ephesus of 2000 years ago when men shared public toilets and socialized in public baths. He answered every question in an easy way and made sure I was satisfied with his answers. If you go Ephesus you must hire this guide and this company is excellent.
