Ozgur - amazing story telling guide. Nice clean car and fantastic Guide/Driver Duo
Ozgur was an amazing tour guide. He is a historian and a great story teller. He not only took us through thr sites, but created am amazing experience for us recounting the Greek and Roman heritage of the old town. The Car provided to us was fantastic and the driver made sure we had a cool car whenever we returned from sweltering heat. The guide/driver team, Limo and the whole communication from agency was outstanding. It breaks my heart not able to give 5 stars. But I am forced to give 4 stars as Agency was not straightforward with the itinerary where the "free lunch" was to sit on a carpet selling sales pitch, which was not told to me upfront by the Agency. I do have to say, the people doing the carpet salespitch was nice and informative, But I can't get around the fact that if I am paying for a tour , I expect the tour to be fully focused on my needs especially when I had limited hours on the trip. I should not be put in any forced situation for free lunch. I would have gladly paid for my families lunch if it can be done based on my preferences. All said and done, we had a really great time and good memories of the trip. I just hope the Agency takes this feedback seriously and offer the "free lunch/carpet sales pitch" as a option the guest can opt in or out ahead of tour date than be forced into it.

Friendly, knowledgeable, insightful
We had a wonderful tour around the Kusadasi area with our guide, Gul. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing the rich history of her hometown. Visiting the House of the Virgin Mary was a deeply moving experience, and walking through ancient Ephesus with Gul’s insightful commentary made the ruins come alive. She took us to a fantastic local spot for lunch—authentic, delicious, and far from the usual tourist traps. Her personal stories and deep understanding of both ancient and modern Turkey added so much depth to the tour. I would highly recommend Gul to anyone looking for a meaningful and memorable experience in the area.

Fabulous private guide experience in Ephesus
We had a wonderful time with Hatice at Ephesus. Not only is she very knowledgeable about the historic sites of turkey, she is very easy to talk to and so fun to be around. My husband and I had taken a cruise 10 years ago that stopped at Kusadasi/ Ephesus 10 years ago, we had a nice enough time walking through Ephesus but it wasn't necessarily the highlight of that trip. Fast forward to summer 2024, we were on a cruise with two other couples (family/friends) and our friends from Italy found Hatice through connections with other tour guide friends in Italy. WE HAD THE BEST DAY! Hatice made the history of Ephesus come alive, and she also knew exactly when to visit certain areas, to pace our morning /afternoon as well as avoid crowds at peak periods. We also stopped for lunch at a fabulous rug cooperative, and while we were skeptical of the demonstrations and the rug sales, it was honestly one of the most fun afternoons of our entire trip. It was also wonderful to have Hatice there to give us good (Turkish) advice when making a major rug purchase. (which we were basically expecting to do anyway) And then we had a fabulous lunch in the courtyard with great food and conversation. She said she wants to take us on a 10-day tour through Turkey, and we are ready! We still WhatsApp with her and consider her a friend after. such a great day in Ephesus. Highly, highly recommended!

Ephesus Private Shore Excursion from Kuşadası: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kusadasi.
How much does Ephesus Private Shore Excursion from Kuşadası cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kusadasi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ephesus Private Shore Excursion from Kuşadası take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kusadasi is not rushed.
Is Ephesus Private Shore Excursion from Kuşadası worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 49 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kusadasi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ephesus Private Shore Excursion from Kuşadası?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ephesus Private Shore Excursion from Kuşadası suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ephesus Private Shore Excursion from Kuşadası?
+
Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kusadasi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kusadasi and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ephesus Private Shore Excursion from Kuşadası start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kusadasi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kusadasi?
+
On Outty we rank every Kusadasi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include FOR CRUISERS: Ephesus & Virgin Mary Tour with ENTRY TICKET+LUNCH, Ephesus Temple of Artemis and House of Mary Private Half Day Tour, Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Private Tour from Kusadasi Port. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kusadasi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kusadasi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
