Terrible merchant experience
The tour of the ruins in Ephesus was amazing. In addition, we were also taken to Mira Kuyumculuk/Raffi Jeweler, a merchant who sold Turkish rugs and jewelry. We were assured by our Globus Travel tour guide that the merchant was reputable and that Globus would stand behind any merchant they took us to. NOT SO. I and another traveler purchased a gold Sultanite ring there that needed to be sized larger. We paid for our rings with credit cards. When they were delivered to us just before we got on the ship, they were actually smaller. We asked for a refund to our credit card. They took our cards and "processed" the credit on a portable card machine. However, they did not give us a paper confirmation. They assured us the charge would be reflected in our account in two days. The charge showed up on my credit card on November 5, 2019, the same day I purchased it. In the past two months I have made numerous calls and sent emails to Globus and Celestyal Cruises. The Globus tour guide even sent me a copy of a document which was supposed to be showing that the jeweler had requested a refund. However, I was not able to read the Turkish language. Also the jeweler left a message on my phone saying the refund would be credited on Nov 22. As of this date, 2 months later, the jeweler has still not refunded the money to my account! I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. The credit card company contacted the jeweler, but the jeweler never responded. The credit card company has reversed the charges. But I will never get back all the time, energy, and frustration I have wasted on this ordeal. And I will never travel with Globus again.
Response from the operator: Hello We checked with our tours list for November. You didnt have the tour with our company. We are Celsus Travel and as you mentioned that You booked the tour with Globus. We dont work with them and We dont work with Mira jeweler either. We think that You wrote the review on our Page by mistake. Kindly remove the review. Thank you.

Loved this tour
My first time in turkey. Our tour guide was eylem rehbecom. He was great. Very knowledgeable, fun & easy to understand. He made us very comfortable & welcome. I would highly recommend working with him.

Nice cruise in general
On a pilgrimage so we got a small cabin. Food in general was okay but I believe they should cater to what they have a majority of travelers. If Asian, well, more Asian food, right? Their scrambled eggs for breakfast (the only American food besides Cereal) were always watery despite mentioning it to the chief cook. This cruise included the Greek Isles.

Lots of people!!!
Well the excursions are nice but they do go kinda crazy taking you in and even if you dont go with the ship there will be tons of people outside going crazy to take you arround. What i dont understand is when you pay so much for the cruise itself why should you pay more money atop that for every excursion? It's already planned and everything, they should make a new price incuding the excursions.

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ephesus Highlights Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kusadasi.
How much does Ephesus Highlights Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kusadasi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ephesus Highlights Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kusadasi is not rushed.
Is Ephesus Highlights Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kusadasi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ephesus Highlights Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ephesus Highlights Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ephesus Highlights Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kusadasi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kusadasi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ephesus Highlights Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kusadasi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kusadasi?
+
On Outty we rank every Kusadasi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include FOR CRUISERS: Ephesus & Virgin Mary Tour with ENTRY TICKET+LUNCH, Ephesus Temple of Artemis and House of Mary Private Half Day Tour, Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Private Tour from Kusadasi Port. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kusadasi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kusadasi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
