We enjoyed being able to see Ephesus. The place we stopped for breakfast was beautiful. We were upset about stopping at the gem/zultanite stop. It was not on the tour description. Our guide was nice but we would have hoped for more thorough descriptions. We were not told that three different languages would have been on the tour guide. The speakers on the bus were not easy to hear and sounded broken. The stop for Turkish delight factory was not on the tour description either. The fact that the tour said house of Mary but was voted on in the bus was not ok. We would have liked to at least see the outside of the house. We would not recommend this tour to anyone.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed visiting Ephesus and appreciated the breakfast stop, but we are truly sorry that several aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations. We regret the additional stops that were not clearly mentioned in the tour description and understand how this may have been frustrating. Your comments regarding the guide’s explanations, the use of multiple languages, and the audio system on the bus are also noted, as clear communication is essential for a comfortable experience. We are especially sorry for the disappointment regarding the House of the Virgin Mary. We understand why this was important to you, and your feedback about how this decision was handled has been taken seriously. Thank you again for sharing your experience. Your comments help us identify areas where improvements are needed to better meet guest expectations in the future. Kind regards, Tourmania

Interesting view of Ephesus ruins, a beautiful house of mama Mary, also includes tour w/ a diamond products
It’s a long travel but enjoyable, our English speaking tour guide is very accommodating, straight forward and approachable. We paid €25 as entrance fee for the house of mama Mary but in Tripadvisor and Viator websites is €10 only. During our lunch, we were told that the water we brought in is not allowed, we have to buy from them, he said that in a rude manner
Response from the operator: We’re glad to hear that you found the trip enjoyable overall and appreciated the efforts of our English-speaking guide. It’s always our goal to provide informative and friendly service, so your kind words about the guide’s approachability mean a lot. We also sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered. Regarding the entrance fee, we understand your concern — pricing can sometimes vary depending on booking platforms and inclusions, but we will look into this to ensure there’s no confusion in the future. We're also sorry to hear about the way the lunch situation was handled; your feedback about the tone used is taken seriously, and we’ll be addressing this with the team to improve our guest experience. Thank you again for your honesty. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to offer you an even better experience next time.

Bad tour
This tour was JUST BAD. Where to begin? The literal NAME of the tour is "Ephesus and house of Virgin Mary". Well, little did we know that they were not even gonna take us to the house of the Virgin Mary, which is half the reason we booked this tour. In the tour description, which I attach for transparecy, it clearly states that we are going to the sanctuary, although entrance is optional (10 euros). Well, when time for the virgin Mary's house came, they asked us for 25 (25 !!) extra euros, only paid in cash (convenient), otherwise we could go out of the bus in a random avenue intersection in Selcuk. Since I had no euros with me, I asked the tour if I could just go with them and pay the entrance fee (which is way less than 25) on the sanctuary, and he literally told me "You can go in a taxi". So we didn't go. Besides the fact that they didn't takes us to half of the tour, there were some other events that made the trip just uncomfortable. First, we stopped in so many stores along the way for us to buy jewelry, Turkish candies, and tourist souvenirs, which I am not against, but those activities were not listed on the description of the tour, and for which we spend solid one hour, one hour and a half. Second, they literally drop us off in a random intersection of Selcuk to all those that couldn't or wouldn't pay the extra 25 bucks, they just told us,"meet in one hour here". Third, the guides were borderline rude, for example, I already mentioned the "you can go in a taxi" bit, but also at some rest stop, one sat on my bus seat and told me to find another spot on the bus (which was almost full) just because she wanted to sit on her own. Lastly, when we got back to Bodrum, they stopped the bus on a random highway intersection (in the middle of nowehere, with no shelter, no nothing, in the middle of the June sun) and told us to get off the bus, and that a van would come pick us up, and they ALL LEFT us there with no other word, they just abandoned us. The van took solid 20 minutes to arrive. That is it. I will be looking to get my money back. This tour was just sad
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are deeply sorry to hear that your Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary Day Trip did not meet your expectations and that you faced so many inconveniences during the tour. We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding the House of Virgin Mary visit, the unexpected extra charges, and the way this situation was handled by our staff. This is not the level of service we aim to provide. We also regret the extended stops at shops, the seating issue on the bus, and the delay during the drop-off. Every guest should feel respected, informed, and comfortable throughout their journey, and it is clear that we fell short in your case. Your feedback has been shared with our team to ensure that staff are trained to communicate clearly, manage tours professionally, and avoid similar situations in the future. We truly value your comments, as they help us improve our services. We are very sorry for the negative experience and disappointment caused, and we hope to have the opportunity to restore your trust in our tours in the future. Kind regards, Tourmania Team

How long does Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary Day Trip from Bodrum take?
+

Is Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary Day Trip from Bodrum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bodrum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary Day Trip from Bodrum?

Is Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary Day Trip from Bodrum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary Day Trip from Bodrum?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bodrum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bodrum and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Bodrum?
+
On Outty we rank every Bodrum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Boat Trip to the Turkish Maldives- Orak Island, Private Bodrum City Tour for Cruisers, Bodrum Orak Island (Turkish Maldives) Boat Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bodrum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bodrum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
