A must go experience!
We got here every year! My son is ten and loves it! It's super fun for a family. They even take the time to describe and identify any gemstones! They can even make custom jewelry! I found beautiful rubies & citrine stones! They have a great shop with lots of pretty stuff, too!
Response from the operator: Thank you for making us part of your family's tradition year after year! We're thrilled to hear your son enjoys gem mining and that you discovered some beautiful rubies and citrine during your visit. We love helping guests identify their treasures and turn special finds into custom jewelry pieces that can be enjoyed for years to come. Thank you for your kind words about our shop and team. We can't wait to welcome your family back for another mining adventure!

AMAZING!!! Cory was great and would recommend going to her!
Amazing! I have been collecting gems for over fours years and was able to find a couple I did not own. I work with Cory to identify my gems and also buy a necklace. She was amazing not at all pushy was happy to explain the difference between the colors ( from cloudy, light and so on) I would definitely recommend her as your person to identify and also would overall recommend this place!
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review! We love hearing from guests who truly enjoy the experience, and it’s wonderful to know Cory made such a positive impact during your visit. Helping guests discover and identify unique gems is one of our favorite parts of what we do, and we’re so glad you were able to find pieces to add to your collection. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to Cory, she’ll appreciate it! We can’t wait to welcome you back for more mining adventures on your next visit. 💎

Great experience for young ones!
In 2015 this was the first place we happened into, in 2026, first time for my son, it was also our first stop. He loved it and nearly 8 years old, he was very into it. Worth the $35 for a bucket of sand, and that was enough for him to experience it, but not feel like we had to stand there all day. You very well might get wet, splashing if they aren't careful. You'll leave with a bag of some awesome looking rocks, we got an arrowhead and a coin in our bucket as well.
Response from the operator: Thank you for visiting us again and for making us part of your family’s memories! We love hearing that your son had such a great time, Especially for his first visit. It means a lot that you chose to come back after all these years. Sounds like he made some awesome discoveries too! We hope to see you both again on your next trip to Pigeon Forge.

Why this scores 50
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Entry to Gem Mining Bucket in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pigeon Forge.
How much does Entry to Gem Mining Bucket in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pigeon Forge usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Entry to Gem Mining Bucket in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee take?
+
Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pigeon Forge is not rushed.
Is Entry to Gem Mining Bucket in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Pigeon Forge, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Entry to Gem Mining Bucket in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Entry to Gem Mining Bucket in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Entry to Gem Mining Bucket in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pigeon Forge can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pigeon Forge and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Entry to Gem Mining Bucket in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pigeon Forge within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Pigeon Forge?
+
Pigeon Forge covers Dollywood, dinner shows, go-karts and mountain coasters, plus Smoky Mountain hikes and rafting a short drive away. Show and park combos vary in whether admission is actually included. On Outty we rank every Pigeon Forge experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game Pigeon Forge: 60-Minute Adventures on The Island, Brian Hoffman's Remembering Red - A Tribute to Red Skelton, Crave Golf Club - Two Courses of Mini Golf. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Pigeon Forge?
+
April to June and October, with peak crowds in July. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Pigeon Forge?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
