The best experience on Ha Long Bay

This boat, staff, food, excursions far exceeded mine and my husband’s expectations. The food was phenomenal. Fresh and delicious. The rooms were luxurious, the beds comfortable. The spa with a view was while floating along Ha Long Bay was an amazing experience. My husband and I loved everything about this. The staff treated us like royalty, nothing was too hard for them. We stayed in the queen room and it was exceptional. Highly highly recommend this boat. The art and deco was stunning. 10 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Most Unforgettable Trip Ever!

We went on an emperor cruise for 4 nights and 5 days for part of our honeymoon. It was a truly remarkable experience. Karen, Chi and the other staff made us feel special every step of the way. Their hospitality was warm, personal, kind and thorough. Vietnam’s hospitality, in general, was a beautiful thing to experience. The ship was gorgeous. There was a dark wood spiraling staircase connecting all four floors, with beautiful artwork and ceramics all throughout. The paintings were all done by the same artist and depicted Vietnamese scenes. It felt like a warm and inviting museum at times. Each evening there was a cooking class during happy hour. There was food and drinks provided and then we would get to learn a Vietnamese dish then eat our handiwork. And we got to bring home beautifully printed recipes that I am really looking forward to recreating. After dinner each night we could also do squid fishing which was super fun. The food on this ship was incredible. I could not have asked for better! The cook asked for feedback frequently to adjust things but we often had no critical feedback to give. I’m really into cooking and baking and I could see the thoughtfulness and hard work that went into each and every meal. We also had spa services throughout the trip. It was so nice to come back from an excursion and get a massage. The staff member was good at her work and learned what we liked and disliked, always adjusting to our needs. The excursions were amazing and gave us a good picture of the day to day life of the Vietnamese. We went kayaking and swimming. We went to a pearl farm, a floating fishing village, went to Viet Hai village, all throughout the Cat Ba and Halong Bay islands, we hiked to the top of Tito island, went to a fish sauce factory, saw trees filled with butterflies, saw water buffalo, went to local restaurants and walked through several caves. We learned so much about the culture of the Vietnamese the entire time. Karen had a wealth of knowledge and was open to all of our questions. You could tell that sharing the beauty and history of her country was a passion for her. All of this was before they even knew it was our honeymoon. On the last day they found out and we went back to our room after dinner to find an adorable cake just for us. They knew we would not want a spectacle because they knew us well by this point. They wrote a beautiful card and allowed us our own private celebration the last night of our honeymoon. We would recommend this cruise line and visiting Vietnam wholeheartedly. We hope to return one day as this country found a special place in our hearts. I wish we were sitting on the top of the ship, while reading and watching the sunset right now.

Must do cruise in Vietnam

This 3 day cruise on the emperor in Halong bay, was beyond my expectations. The boat was absolutely stunning, perfectly clean, our room was huge with a large balcony. The staff was so wonderful, always helpful, smiling, great guides, servers , they did it all. The food was delicious, I got to try some seafood I had never eaten before which was fun. The scenery on this cruise is breathtaking. The activities were very enjoyable & the view from the top of tip top island amazing. The pick up & transport from Hanoi to Halong bay was seamless. This is a must do in Vietnam & very reasonable prices.

Over rated, under delivered

1/10. We were on an Old boat. Emperor Cruise is horrible. No services. Poor English. Repetitive tours. Rubbish everywhere. One night is already too long.
