  3. THE TOTORA RAFTS This boat is 3 to 4 meters long and, as its name suggests, is made of "Totora", an aquatic plant that grows in ponds. To guide this fragile pre-Inca boat, you have to do it riding or kneeling; when crossing the waves, it jumps slightly, similar to the jumping of a horse. LAS BALSAS DE TOTORA Esta embarcación de 3 a 4 metros de largo y como su nombre lo dice está confeccionada de "Totora", planta acuática que crece en los estanques. Para poder guiar esta frágil embarcación pre-inca hay que hacerlo montado o arrodillado; al cruzar las olas da ligeros saltos, similar al salto de los potros.
