10/10 – An unforgettable adventure made even more special by three incredible people!
What an absolutely amazing experience! This rafting tour was easily one of the highlights of our entire Costa Rica trip, and while the adventure itself was fantastic, it was the people who made it truly unforgettable. Everything was perfectly organized from beginning to end. We were picked up directly from our hotel in the morning and started the day with a traditional Costa Rican breakfast at a small local restaurant. Nothing fancy, but authentic, tasty, and a lovely way to begin the adventure. After breakfast, we hopped onto a small open-air truck for a beautiful ride through the jungle to our rafting starting point. The drive itself was already an experience! Whenever we spotted wildlife along the way, our driver made sure to stop so we could enjoy the moment and take pictures. Such a thoughtful little detail! But now to the real stars of the day: Nicolas, Johnathan, and Mario – also known as “Super Mario” because he genuinely looks like him! 😂 These three were simply incredible. So warm, welcoming, funny, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. From the very first moment, they made us feel comfortable and completely safe. Their humor, kindness, and positive energy turned an already exciting adventure into something truly special. The rafting itself was absolutely fantastic! One of our favorite moments was stopping at a waterfall, where we even got to walk through the falling water with our guide. An experience we will definitely never forget! At the end of the rafting adventure, Mario was already waiting for us with the truck and a wonderful selection of fresh fruit. And as if that wasn’t sweet enough, he even gave us a little lesson about the local plants and nature. It was such a genuine and thoughtful gesture that perfectly sums up the kind of people they are. Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch and had the opportunity to look at the professional photos taken of us throughout the adventure. We could purchase them for a very fair price, which was another lovely bonus. Since we visited during the low season, we were incredibly lucky to have the entire tour to ourselves. It honestly felt like spending the day with friends rather than being on an organized excursion. Breakfast, lunch, and hotel transportation were all included in the price, making the whole experience even better. Our final verdict? An absolute 10/10! But here’s the most important part: As amazing as the rafting, the jungle, and the waterfall were, without Nicolas, Johnathan, and Super Mario, this experience wouldn’t have been half as special. It’s rare to meet people who make you feel so genuinely welcome and who clearly love what they do. We came for the rafting, but we left with wonderful memories, big smiles, and three people we will remember long after our Costa Rica vacation is over. Thank you, Nicolas, Johnathan, and Super Mario, for making this day so unforgettable. You three are the heart and soul of this experience! ❤️ If you’re thinking about booking this tour, don’t hesitate. And if you’re lucky enough to have these three looking after you, you’re in for something truly special!

White water rafting fun!
Family of 4 had a great rafting trip - the guides were so cautious, informative, fun, and kind! They really want you to have the best experience! Being a mom, I was apprehensive about doing class 4 rapids but it was so exciting and not too intimidating at all! Finished with a gear buffet lunch. This is a MUST-DO in Costa Rica! We stayed at Los Suenos -was about 1.5 hours away.
Response from the operator: We are honored by your wonderful review. Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal, and we are thrilled that we hit the mark for you. We can’t wait to serve you again soon!

El Chorro Water Rafting from Jaco: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jaco.
How much does El Chorro Water Rafting from Jaco cost?
+
Prices start at $157 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jaco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does El Chorro Water Rafting from Jaco take?
+
Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jaco is not rushed.
Is El Chorro Water Rafting from Jaco worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jaco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule El Chorro Water Rafting from Jaco?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is El Chorro Water Rafting from Jaco suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book El Chorro Water Rafting from Jaco?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaco and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does El Chorro Water Rafting from Jaco start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jaco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jaco?
+
On Outty we rank every Jaco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna Waterfall, Hot Springs Combo Tour with Lunch & Dinner, Jason Crocodile Tours, Jaco Beach Costa Rica Horseback Riding. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jaco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jaco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in El Chorro Water Rafting from Jaco?
+
