    Incredible, I highly recommend it!

Incredible experience!!! Marcelo and Ezequiel were great, they picked us up punctually, the 4x4 had a great structure and we had a beautiful tour with beautiful views and great photos. Marcelo helped with incredible photos! But the highlight was the zip line, I felt super safe and it was one of the coolest adventure experiences I've ever had, we did 3 sections, one with a better view, very exciting. Lunch was super well served in a super cozy environment. Loved the experience, I would certainly do it again!

Response from the operator: Muito obrigada pela sua avaliação! Ficamos muito felizes em saber que você teve uma experiência maravilhosa e que voltaria!

Half day trip to the mountains

Ruben was an excellent guide and very very friendly. He explained about the cultures and the history of the terrain. The trip ended with a wonderful spread of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and juices along with delicious home made pastries. Overall a great experience. I would recommend.

    This tour is not great...

This tour is not great for the price you pay. You do have some nice views and we could see the Andes mountains. Again, really not worth it for the price. The reason I went as far as a 3 star is because the lunch was decent and you got lots. And the guides were great.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience and for highlighting the beautiful views of the Andes, the quality of the lunch and the work of our guides. We are very happy to hear that these aspects were to your liking. We take note of your comment about the price of the tour in relation to the overall experience. Your feedback is very valuable to us and we will take it into consideration as we review and adjust our pricing and the value proposition of our tours. We try our best to offer enriching experiences that provide justification for our clients' money, and we are sorry if on this occasion you felt that the price did not fully match what was offered, despite the positive points you mention. Should you decide to explore other tours with us in the future, we look forward to providing you with an experience that fully meets your expectations in terms of value.

For a little extra adrenaline in Calafate....

Talk about adrenaline rush!! This experience is not for the feight of heart (or for those seriously affected by heights! Lol). That being said, the guide was awesome and very empathetic when one of the riders was afraid at one spot on the course. He handled things extremely well and really turned what could have been an excursion spoiler into a win for the day. It should also be mentioned that the views are spectacular, the ride is adrenaline inducing and totally worth the money.

How much does El Calafate 4WD Adventure with Lunch and Optional Hike-Zipline cost?

    +

Prices start at $163 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in El Calafate usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does El Calafate 4WD Adventure with Lunch and Optional Hike-Zipline take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in El Calafate is not rushed.

Is El Calafate 4WD Adventure with Lunch and Optional Hike-Zipline worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in El Calafate, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule El Calafate 4WD Adventure with Lunch and Optional Hike-Zipline?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is El Calafate 4WD Adventure with Lunch and Optional Hike-Zipline suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book El Calafate 4WD Adventure with Lunch and Optional Hike-Zipline?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in El Calafate can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in El Calafate and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in El Calafate?

    +

On Outty we rank every El Calafate experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kayak Full-Day Activity in La Leona River from El Calafate, Perito Moreno Glacier with Navigation from El Calafate, Perito Moreno Glacier Full Day Tour with Optional Boat Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit El Calafate?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in El Calafate?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
