A Fantastic Decision- Upgrade
My wife and I, along with friends, booked this tour in advance and without realizing that it did NOT include a guide throughout and that we would not be going to the top of Jungfrau. However, once this was explained to us by our guide, Kid, we decided to upgrade the tour and this was a wonderful decision. He was a real character and only added to our journey. This tour made the day a highlight of our vacation.

Awesome experience!
Awesome experience! We had a great time! The tour guide was very helpful and informative. Just be careful about the timing of each stop because this day trip has several options (such as the Top of Europe add-on and the Interlaken-Grindelwald focused tour), and people separate from the group at certain points. If you are a couple of minutes late for a pick-up (at, for example, Interlaken) and do not call the guide, he might assume that you want to stay in that place and leave you behind. This did not happen to me but did happen to one group. Important: CALL the guide if you might be late; don't rely on text messages. He will give you his direct mobile number.

Fantastic trip with great views!
Had a wonderful trip with amazing views. Our guide, Kid, was entertaining and interactive, making sure we had all the information we need for a successful day. We appreciated the format which gave us free time and independence with parameters on where to be and when. It was a great trip and we would highly recommend it!

Great trip to views of the Jungfrau!!
The views of the Jungfrau, Eiger, and Monch were spectacular! Kid was fun and engaging. The bus trip was easy to find and well coordinated. We loved it! We would recommend it to those wanting an organized yet independent trip up the mountain.

What a rip off! Not a tour at all.
DO NOT BOOK THIS "TOUR". This trip was booked as a tour. In fact, a bus picked us up, made a 30 minute stop in Interlaken, then dropped us off in Lauterbrunnen with a train ticket that would get us via 2 trains to the bus pickup town of Grindelwald. The tour guide was actually taking a tour group to Jungfraujoch, and we were 'offered' the opportunity to upgrade for $250 in cash. This is the first tour I've booked through Viator that was a complete rip-off. This NON tour is run by Hans Meier Tourist AG - Gray Line Zurich, again what a rip off. We were charged close to $ 150 each and based on research I did after the trip, the train tickets cost $40 each. Could have done the trip from Lucerne by train for much less cost and more fun.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Eiger and Jungfrau Panorama Day Trip from Lucerne: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lucerne.
How much does Eiger and Jungfrau Panorama Day Trip from Lucerne cost?
+
Prices start at $72 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lucerne usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Eiger and Jungfrau Panorama Day Trip from Lucerne take?
+
Plan for about 9.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lucerne is not rushed.
Is Eiger and Jungfrau Panorama Day Trip from Lucerne worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lucerne, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Eiger and Jungfrau Panorama Day Trip from Lucerne?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Eiger and Jungfrau Panorama Day Trip from Lucerne suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Eiger and Jungfrau Panorama Day Trip from Lucerne?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lucerne can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lucerne and add a light layer if any part of the 9.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Eiger and Jungfrau Panorama Day Trip from Lucerne start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lucerne within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lucerne?
+
On Outty we rank every Lucerne experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jungfraujoch Top of Europe Day Trip from Lucerne, Lucerne Walking & Boat Tour: The Best Swiss Experience, Mount Pilatus Summit from Lucerne With Lake Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lucerne?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lucerne?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
