Inconsistent communication for a custom trip package - Egypt and Jordan.
I saw a post on an Egypt trip facebook group recommending this company. Unfortunately, I spent literally months trying to book a trip with this company for a custom trip to Egypt and Jordan for my family. They sent me their boilerplate trip document once, and one other time made corrections in that whole 3 month period. They were very inconsistent with responding to me. When I followed up several times, after every 3rd email they would respond quickly saying they were off for the evening and they would get back to me the next day, and then the cycle would continue. I tried email and WhatsApp with polite follow up with a Senior Travel consultant, Niveen, and was never successful in keeping a conversation consistently going. I eventually grew to have serious reservations about them being able to deliver a quality experience on the ground if they couldn't be consistent with communication. I ended up booking my trip (now last minute) with another group with whom I had a complete opposite experience. They would always get back to me in a day or two and I never needed to follow up (Memphis Tours). Needless to say, I would look elsewhere so you don't waste your time.

Trip of a lifetime with Look at Egypt tours.
We just got back from a two weeks trip to Egypt with Look at Egypt tours. Thanks to the incredible team: Ayat our tour operator and Ezz, our tour leader, so patient and responsive. Very professionnal, They were pretty much available 24/7 and responded quickly :). They manage my schedule to respond our needs and modify it when needed (ex. Change hotel so I could be downtown in front of the Pyramids or modify/cancel the Jordan part because of the political situation, so we ended up adding a week in Egypt). The trip was well paced and we really felt, my husband and I, that we maximised our time. Our guides, in north and south Egypt, were knowledgable and our private driver, Saleh, drove us around securely and always on time in a clean car. Visit Egypt was a « bucketlist » projet and you made it possible. Thanks to you Look at Egypt tours :). You are definitely a 5 stars company!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words and thoughtful feedback! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that your two-week journey through Egypt was everything you hoped for and more. It was our true pleasure to welcome you and your husband to Egypt, and we’re especially glad that our team made your trip unforgettable. Can't wait to welcome you back and anyone related anytime

The incredible trip of a lifetime!!
WHERE DO I BEGIN?!! I wish I could give six stars. This was the trip of a lifetime, and went beyond ALL expectations from every aspect. I went with my father from Feb 6-Feb 18th. We got to explore both Egyptian museums, the pyramids, the Serapeum at Saqqara, several temples, take cruise down the Nile river starting in Luxor with stops along the way to Aswan, and then fly to Jordan to visit Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea. We had Dalia as our guide in Cairo/Giza, Mohammed in Luxor, Aswan, temples, Nubian Village, etc, and a local guide for Petra. Dalia was amazing, very personable and incredibly knowledgeable. Mohammed was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about all of the history of Egypt- he was truly remarkable and fun to be around, educating us with a sense of humor. All drivers were incredible, really caring about our safety. They showed up on time with a great attitude. Mahmoud (affectionately known to us as Moody), was our main organizer and point of contact. He has become a close friend (since this was my dad’s 3rd trip to Egypt), and even welcomed us into his home to enjoy an incredible dinner with his wife and 3 children. He is now a lifelong friend and brother to us. This trip changed my life, and I will always cherish the memories we made along the way. Moody, thank you for being there for us every step of the way and treating us like family with grace and sensitivity to every single detail. We love you and your company, and will tell everyone we know it is a MUST to book through Look at egypt tours!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your feedback, we are glad that you enjoyed your holiday with us, hope to serve you again.

Excellent tour experience
There are not enough words to express our experience and appreciation, the trip was excellent. Our most profound thanks to our tour guides and drivers. Everything was perfect, the hotels, the food, the sites and attention to detail. They were completely professional and puntual. Thanks to the Egypt crew, they were fantastic. The sites were a complete WOW! My only complaint was the Nile Cruise, the room was out of date, tiny, the bed was fatal, no internet nor TV. Cell signal reception was really weak, no WhatsApp. Jordan's portion was mystifying. Mo, great job. Petra, Jerash, the Dead Sea and John the Baptist site (this last was an addition to the trip) they were much more than expected. To all, once again, thanks, you made our trip worry free, enjoyable and we felt that we were traveling with family. God Bless.

Amazing but Soured
This Jordan/Egypt trip was a bucket list for me from my childhood! Pros - I saw the wonderful sites thanks to Look at Egypt Tours. Cons - 1. The one thing that made things really sour was the Lead Guide/Co-Ordinator forcefully asking us to withdraw money at midnight as we landed into Cairo (never mind the full jet lag we were in!) and demanding how much tip needs given to all there. 2. Once during the trip there were two drivers, who both needed tipping. Once there were two guides both needing tipped!! I understand tipping is a culture in some countries, but this should not be used as an emotional blackmail. After all, we save for such momentous trip and have it soured...!! We tried few other Viator service providers and they were brilliant!

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Egypt & Jordan Discovery Tour 12-Day Cairo, Nile Cruise, Petra, Dead Sea: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Egypt & Jordan Discovery Tour 12-Day Cairo, Nile Cruise, Petra, Dead Sea cost?
+
Prices start at $1100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Egypt & Jordan Discovery Tour 12-Day Cairo, Nile Cruise, Petra, Dead Sea take?
+
Plan for about 288 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Egypt & Jordan Discovery Tour 12-Day Cairo, Nile Cruise, Petra, Dead Sea worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Egypt & Jordan Discovery Tour 12-Day Cairo, Nile Cruise, Petra, Dead Sea?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Egypt & Jordan Discovery Tour 12-Day Cairo, Nile Cruise, Petra, Dead Sea suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 288-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Egypt & Jordan Discovery Tour 12-Day Cairo, Nile Cruise, Petra, Dead Sea?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 288-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Egypt & Jordan Discovery Tour 12-Day Cairo, Nile Cruise, Petra, Dead Sea start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
