An unforgettable experience!
We had booked our tour for our honeymoon not quite knowing what to expect. Kelvin and Azly were absolutely incredible tour guides/drivers. They were super friendly from the get go, especially when I told Kelvin I was slightly nervous to be on the back of the vespa. I needn't have worried as he was such a great driver. The tour itself was awesome, we just can't believe how much they fitted in to our evening and how delicious all the food was that we got to try! Kelvin also went the extra mile and took loads of photos and took us to some extra spots around the city. His knowledge and pride for KL and Malaysia was so inspiring and we came away having learnt a lot. We cant thank them enough for providing us with such a fantastic honeymoon experience and for all the fabulous food we got to try! Thanks again! From Lily & Jack :)
Response from the operator: Dear Lily & Jack, Thank you so much for your lovely review and for choosing to celebrate your honeymoon with us — what an honour! We're thrilled to hear that Kelvin and Azly made your Vespa adventure such a memorable one. 😊 It's completely natural to feel a bit nervous at first, and we're so glad Kelvin was able to make you feel at ease right away. He and Azly truly love what they do, and it’s heartening to know their friendliness, knowledge, and passion for KL shone through during your tour. We’re especially happy to hear that you enjoyed all the delicious local flavours and discovered so much about our beautiful city! We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to both Kelvin and Azly — they'll be so touched. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness and adventures together. And if you’re ever back in Malaysia, we’d love to welcome you again! Warmest regards, The Vespalicious Team 🛵✨

Vespas, Curries and even Marmite Chicken!
Do this experience in Kuala Lumpur! Travelling around Kuala Lumpur at night on the back of a Vespa to sample the diverse culture and cuisine is amazing. Kelvin (our Guide), Aslan and Big Moss gave us an evening to remember. Zipping all over KL, we filled up on fantastic Chinese, Indian and Malay dishes as well as squeezing in visits to a hidden bar at PS150, the Petronas Twin Towers and Mederka Square. Kelvin was an excellent guide, with exceptional knowledge and insights. Kelvin, Big Moss and Aslan gave us a real sense of the rich history that has moulded today's KL and where it is going in the future. They are expert Vespa enthusiasts and so you feel completely safe as they zip you around the city. They are also three of the warmest and nicest people you could hope to meet which really adds to the whole experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this fantastic and wonderfully detailed review! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that you had such a memorable evening exploring Kuala Lumpur with Kelvin, Aslan and Big Moss. It sounds like you experienced the full KL adventure — from Chinese, Indian and Malay dishes to the hidden bar at PS150, Merdeka Square and the Petronas Twin Towers. And we’re especially pleased that the Marmite chicken made the list! 😄 We love hearing that Kelvin’s knowledge and insights helped bring KL’s rich history and multicultural character to life. It’s also wonderful to know that you felt completely safe with our Vespa riders while zipping around the city. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Kelvin, Aslan and Big Moss. Being described as warm and welcoming is a huge compliment, and we’re so glad their personalities added to the experience. Thank you again for recommending us so highly. We loved having you along for the adventure and hope to welcome you back to KL for another ride, another meal, and perhaps another Marmite chicken!

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Eat Like a Local in Kuala Lumpur: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuala Lumpur.
How much does Eat Like a Local in Kuala Lumpur cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuala Lumpur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Eat Like a Local in Kuala Lumpur take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuala Lumpur is not rushed.
Is Eat Like a Local in Kuala Lumpur worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuala Lumpur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Eat Like a Local in Kuala Lumpur?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Eat Like a Local in Kuala Lumpur suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Eat Like a Local in Kuala Lumpur?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuala Lumpur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuala Lumpur and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Eat Like a Local in Kuala Lumpur start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuala Lumpur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur?
+
On Outty we rank every Kuala Lumpur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sambal Streets Kuala Lumpur Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Genting Highland & Batu Cave Guided Day Tour (SIC/Shared Tour), Private Half-Day Batu Caves and Cutural Tour in Kuala Lumpur. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kuala Lumpur?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kuala Lumpur?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
