    Great experience!

Ildi was great! We got lots of info at Central Market before the class and got ideas what to get for souvenirs also. She had samples which helped us to understand Hungarian food and drinks. The menu of the class was delicious and easy enough for us to try when we get home. We enjoyed her comfortable style and engaging conversation. We felt like we left smarter than we were when we arrived. We strongly recommend that you take this class as you experience Hangary.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your great review! We are glad that you enjoyed not only the traditional Hungarian menu you made, but also the market walk. We are also happy that you got some new pieces of information about the Hungarian cuisine and culture.

    Cooking & Learning with Ildiko

We enjoyed and appreciated cooking and spending time with Ildiko. Her personality and teaching style truly enriched this experience. Before getting to the kitchen, we toured the market place. She provided a very informative description of the market’s history/origin and we toured many vendors where she explained the Hungarian food history/culture. In the kitchen, we created a wonderful 4 course meal. We are looking forward to including these traditional Hungarian courses into our menus back home. It was som much fun we could have spent several more hours with her. I wish to say thank you again. Sincerely, Milton, Melinda, Cameron and Madeline

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the great review! We are really glad that you enjoyed the program and got to know more about the Hungarian cuisine and tradition.

    A culturally enriching experience

My name is Gulshan Kavarana, my colleague Zahra Khumri and I mentor an artist on the autism spectrum his name is Abdulla Lutfi We all live in one of the best cities in the world Dubai. We are in Budapest for the Zayed Run for Charity. Yesterday was our first day in Budapest, we couldn’t have started our trip any other way Ildi our guide and cooking instructor met us at the market place she introduced us to so many new and interesting meats, the different paprikas, the honey infused with truffle the plum jam infused with truffle very unique flavors but delicious. Then we took a taxi and spent the next 3 hours in the Easy Cooking Budapest kitchen. Those 3 hours Abdulla was engrossed in cooking a 3 course meal. A Dip, Chicken paprikas, with home made pasta , a desert with poppy seeds and delicious pancakes with a home made strawberry jam. I am a vegan , who is gluten intolerant, Ildi made sure to cater to all my specific dietary requirements. After 3 hours we eat the most delicious. The food and the ambience were great. Ildi was so patient with Abdulla and not once did she rush him. If you are planning a visit to Budapest do experience a cooking session with Easy Cooking Budapest and request for Ildi.

Response from the operator: Dear Gulshan, Zahra and Abdulla, Thank you very much for your lovely review! It was my pleasure to host you and cook together! Abdullah's enthusiasm was so inspiring. Your and Zahra's cheerfulness, patience and affectionate attitude really impressed me. I'm grateful to meet you! All the best, Ildi

Fun class / Great food / Lots of Fun

Had a class today with Ildi. She was great!!! She met us at the Central Market and walked us through and showed us traditional Hungarian foods and products. It was very interesting. She then took us to the kitchen where we would cook and enjoy great conversation. We learned about the upcoming election. She had many things for us to taste. Different sausages, salami, cheeses etc. We loved the tarragon soup we made. We also made an appetizer, chicken paprika and a traditional dessert. We actually had the same dessert on our Viking cruise tonight and the version we made with Ildi was better. Not to mention shots, wine and beer. You won’t leave hungry. Great class. Loads of fun. Ildi is friendly and engaging.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the great review! We are really happy that you enjoyed both the market walk and the cooking class. We hope that you will make these dishes at home as well. Thank you for choosing Easy Cooking Budapest!

    Unfair and unethical business practice

Very aggressive marketing policy. We consider this an unethical and intrusive business practice, as they keep sending unsolicited marketing emails to our company address. Not recommended.

Response from the operator: Dear Madam, Sir, I am truly sorry for your bad experience, but I am not sure you mean our company, as we do not do such marketing campaigns. Could you please share your email address, so I can look into the matter? Thank you in advance, Cecilia

Easy Cooking Class Budapest - with Market Walk (local wine & pálinka included): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Budapest.

How much does Easy Cooking Class Budapest - with Market Walk (local wine & pálinka included) cost?

    +

Prices start at $141 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Budapest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Easy Cooking Class Budapest - with Market Walk (local wine & pálinka included) take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Budapest is not rushed.

Is Easy Cooking Class Budapest - with Market Walk (local wine & pálinka included) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Budapest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Easy Cooking Class Budapest - with Market Walk (local wine & pálinka included)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Easy Cooking Class Budapest - with Market Walk (local wine & pálinka included) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Easy Cooking Class Budapest - with Market Walk (local wine & pálinka included)?

    +

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Budapest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Budapest and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Easy Cooking Class Budapest - with Market Walk (local wine & pálinka included) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Budapest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Budapest?

    +

On Outty we rank every Budapest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Budapest City Landmarks Walking Tour in 2 Hours, Countryside Half-day Gastro-Wine Tour from Budapest Meal & pickup, Budapest free walking tour: Parliament and Shoes Memorial. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Budapest?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Budapest?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
