    Cycle through Mumbai

Cycling through Mumbai can be a dangerous venture. Ankit made it fun and educating. He did it a little later in the day to really reduce the vehicle traffic which I appreciated. On this tour you will find beautiful architecture lit up in dazzling ways; discover aged architecture tied to Mumbai’s trades; and cool stories that show how Mumbai has changed through the ages.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re truly delighted you enjoyed exploring with us. Your kind words mean a great deal to our entire team and reaffirm our passion for creating meaningful, immersive experiences. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable adventure soon! ✨

    Great Idea, bad execution

We experienced the tour with a considerable safety risk. The guide rarely turned around to see if we're still there. If you have Western tourists participate in Mumbai traffic on an unprotected bike, at least watch out for them. The bikes were not safe either: No lights, no reflectors, no bell. Mine was too small for me so I had to hang on the back of my saddle. Content-wise it reminded more of a history lesson with a middle school teacher who keeps on checking your knowledge of historical events. We would have appreciated more contemporary information on how locals pass their evenings in Mumbai etc, on top of the historical context (which I can find myself on Wikipedia). The price of approx. 50€ per person is not only unjustified, but absolutely outrageous, given the condition of the equipment and the quality of the service. It's very unfortunate, because I love the concept/idea of this tour, but execution needs to be fundamentally reworked.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest and detailed feedback. We're truly sorry your experience did not meet expectations, especially regarding safety and equipment—your concerns are serious and deeply regretted. We also acknowledge your thoughts on the tour content and pricing. Your insights are invaluable and will be used to urgently re-evaluate our operations and guide training. We’re committed to improving and hope you’ll see the positive changes should you give us another chance in the future.

    Great tour

This is an early start but it has to be due to the chaotic traffic later. Rhea was our tour guide guide and she was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, my wife could not complete the tour but she ensured that my wife got safely back and in a taxi back to the hotel. She showed my the highlights of Colaba, Churchgate and the surrounding areas, the traffic is heavy even early in the day, total milage was 6miles. Thank you Rhea.

Response from the operator: "Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the tour experience, and your kind words mean the world to us. We truly appreciate your support and hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon!"

    Adventure and stories

Let me start by saying that I approached this tour with a spirit of adventure and knowing that the roads of Mumbai are as frantic and challenging as the spirit of Mumbai itself. It was also a time in my life where I might be motivated by Kiplings attitude to risk, warning us that life is nothing without it. I say this so readers appreciate that the tour includes sharing roads with traffic, and negotiating some Mumbai roundabouts and intersections, although as the tour progressed later into the night this was less the case. Having said this I felt relaxed and aware of my surrounds, but I may think differently for a child or less confident rider. Now, to the tour guide Meherban Irani (Moby). What a gentleman and what a delight to spend the time with him. His intellect and knowledge is matched by the feeling in his story telling. It is evident he has a passion for the history and a deep love for the city. He is an excellent guide (by bike or not), and like all guided experiences it is often the personality of the guide that makes it memorable. You get that with Meherban.

Early Morning Old Mumbai Private Cycle Tour With Breakfast: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.

How much does Early Morning Old Mumbai Private Cycle Tour With Breakfast cost?

    +

Prices start at $33 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Early Morning Old Mumbai Private Cycle Tour With Breakfast take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.

Is Early Morning Old Mumbai Private Cycle Tour With Breakfast worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Early Morning Old Mumbai Private Cycle Tour With Breakfast?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Early Morning Old Mumbai Private Cycle Tour With Breakfast suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Early Morning Old Mumbai Private Cycle Tour With Breakfast?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Early Morning Old Mumbai Private Cycle Tour With Breakfast start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mumbai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mumbai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mumbai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
