A must do for natives of Holland and tourists
I had a wonderful experience at the Dutch Wine Tasting. The selection of wines was excellent, and the atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed, and enjoyable. What truly made the experience stand out was our host, Michael. He was exceptional, knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about wine. Michael took the time to explain each wine in a way that was both informative and easy to understand, making the tasting enjoyable for beginners and wine enthusiasts alike. His enthusiasm and attention to detail created a memorable experience. I highly recommend this wine tasting to anyone looking for a fun, educational, and well-organized event. Thank you, Michael, for an outstanding experience!
Response from the operator: What a lovely review! Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. It means a lot to us to hear that you enjoyed it so much. Kind regards, Michiel and the Design & Wijn Team

Brilliant afternoon
Diederik was our host this evening in the best quaint wine shop. The wine tasting room is in a hidden area and was very cool. He had so much knowledge and was truly passionate about his craft. We had a great afternoon. There was only 4 of us over all, it was very personal and relaxed. The tasting went on for a couple hours and it was a very lovely afternoon out of the snow. Wines were great, would recommend.
Response from the operator: Dear Kerry_M, Thank you so much for this nice and honest review. That is how we want to have it. Good to read that you have experienced it in this way. Hopefully until next time! Kind regards, Diederik Walhof

A Disappointing Wine Tasting — Not Worth the Hype
I had very high expectations for the Dutch Winetasting Amsterdam City Centre, but unfortunately it was a major letdown. The wines offered were mediocre — nothing stood out in flavor, and some were flat and uninspiring. The venue was cramped and uncomfortable, with too many people squeezed in. The host seemed disinterested and gave minimal background on the wines; I felt like I was on autopilot rather than being guided through a proper tasting. Given the price and the hype, this experience was far below what I anticipated. I left feeling disappointed and would not recommend this to fellow wine enthusiasts visiting Amsterdam.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re sorry to read that this was your experience of our wine tasting. To be honest, we do not recognize ourselves in this at all. As the owner, I personally give the winetastings with pleasure and make sure it is never too crowded or uncomfortable. We are very selective with the wines we serve. Flat or uninspiring wines absolutely never make it through our selection. We always prefer when guests share their feedback directly with us, so that we can clarify or adjust things immediately. Of course, leaving an online review is also an option, but we would much rather end on a cheerful note 🍷. After each tasting, we ask our guests about their experience, and we are certain that a one-star impression would definitely have been mentioned. If you really did visit us (which we strongly doubt), you are, of course, very welcome to come by again and experience it anew.

5 Star Experience
A truly amazing experience from start to finish! Walking through the beautiful shop through the secret door to the wine tasting room. The wines were amazing and paired with local cheese and breads. Would go back to do it again.
Response from the operator: Dear 680jodieh, Thank you very much for sharing your personal experience with us. So good to read that you liked the whole Dutch wine experience with us. Looking forward welcoming you again in the future. Kind regards, Diederik

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Dutch Winetasting - Amsterdam City Centre: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does Dutch Winetasting - Amsterdam City Centre cost?
+
Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Dutch Winetasting - Amsterdam City Centre take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.
Is Dutch Winetasting - Amsterdam City Centre worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 79 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Dutch Winetasting - Amsterdam City Centre?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Dutch Winetasting - Amsterdam City Centre suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Dutch Winetasting - Amsterdam City Centre?
+
Around 28 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Dutch Winetasting - Amsterdam City Centre start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
