Will Cancel on you last minute- Terrible Do not use

I booked a Florence Dome Climb on Feb 21,2025 for us going on June 12, 2025. They emailed me today and said " they were over booked and I had to cancel". I called them and asked why since I had booked it over 3 months ago and they said " the price had went up". I even offered to pay the $8 more dollars a person and they said no they were still over booked and couldn't get anymore tickets. This is a terrible company! Cancelled my booking 16 days before I was suppose to go. DO NOT USE THEM THEY MAY CANCEL LAST MINUTE!!!

Response from the operator: Dear valued customer, I'm so sorry to hear that your Florence Dome Climb booking for June 12, 2025, was cancelled due to overbooking, especially just 16 days before your scheduled tour. I can understand how frustrating it must be to have your plans disrupted, particularly after booking well in advance. Regarding the price increase, I appreciate your willingness to pay the additional $8 per person. Unfortunately, it seems that the issue was indeed with ticket availability. To better serve you in the future, I'd like to offer some alternatives. Have you considered booking a different tour or activity in Florence? Perhaps we could look into other options that might interest you, such as a guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery or a visit to the Accademia Museum to see Michelangelo's David. If you're looking for a similar experience, I can also recommend exploring other companies that offer dome climbs or tours. Let me know if you'd like some recommendations or assistance with booking a new tour. Your experience is valuable to us, and I'll make sure to pass on your feedback to our team. We appreciate your honesty and hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Best regards,

It was ok but the experience is for a lifetime.

First we could not find the meeting of the tour guide to get the tickets. It was a lot of confusion. He just gave us our tickets and said go in. So we did. The people that worked there was not really inviting but that was fine. I would do it again but not with this type of tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review, but we have to remind you we provide your tickets as requested and we are sorry to hear about the experience with the museum staff. Hope you would understand.

Lots of stairs but an amazing view!

The company called day of and sent tickets remotely which was fine as we were able to use them at correct time to enter the cupola line. The views going up and down were great but wow those 463 stairs were a lot! Worth the climb if you can physically manage the stairs well!

    Stunning views and architecture

Fantastic views of the city and the inside of the dome, great workout climbing inside dome and Bell tower. Would recommend buying tickets online in advance direct rather than using 'skip the cue' agents, paid considerably more than ticket price to be sent e tickets so still had to queue for everything.

    Worst tour operator ever

Spent an hour trying to find operator after he never showed up to meeting site. Sent him three messages through Viator that were never answered. Phone number for the operator that was provided was a fake. As we were leaving the area (very upset), passed by a different tour operator office that had a Viator logo. I showed them my confirmation and they knew the tour operator, called him, and was finally given my tix. Unfortunately, we were unable to experience the entire tour that I had paid for due to the lost time. In addition, we had to wait in a long line in scorching heat (we bought a “skip the line” ticket). DO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH THIS TOUR OPERATOR.

Response from the operator: Dear Jeff, We are sorry for the inconveniences caused but there's our contact number clearly mentioned in your voucher and you can contact us via Facetime, WhatsApp or normal calls. When you ask for full refunds after having the tickets is something unacceptable. Dome has a selected number of people selected to climb the dome in a specific time frame. Skip the line doesn't mean you can't skip the security checks. Regards, Florence and Global.

Duomo Climb and Baptistry Museum Crypt Cathedral Entrance Tickets: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Duomo Climb and Baptistry Museum Crypt Cathedral Entrance Tickets cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Duomo Climb and Baptistry Museum Crypt Cathedral Entrance Tickets take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Duomo Climb and Baptistry Museum Crypt Cathedral Entrance Tickets worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Duomo Climb and Baptistry Museum Crypt Cathedral Entrance Tickets?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Duomo Climb and Baptistry Museum Crypt Cathedral Entrance Tickets suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Duomo Climb and Baptistry Museum Crypt Cathedral Entrance Tickets?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Duomo Climb and Baptistry Museum Crypt Cathedral Entrance Tickets start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
