Hrvoje Was Absolutely Wonderful!
We had a wonderful experience with Hrvoje from beginning to end. Even before we arrived in Dubrovnik, he very generously took the time to have a video call with me so I could ask questions about the tour, the timing, and what we might want to include. That immediately gave me a sense of how accommodating and thoughtful he was going to be. From the moment we met him, Hrvoje was warm, welcoming, enthusiastic and genuinely fun to be around. What I especially appreciated was how completely flexible he made the tour. He told us from the start that we could go as deeply into the history and details as we wanted, and throughout the walk he constantly adjusted to us. If someone in the family was getting tired or we needed to move a little faster, he would tell us what we could comfortably skip — but he would also let us know when something was really worth seeing and recommend that we not miss it. His enthusiasm for Dubrovnik, its history and the Game of Thrones connections never faded for a moment. He has obviously done these tours countless times, but you would never know it from the way he presents everything. He made the stories interesting, entertaining and genuinely engaging. Hrvoje also took us to a few places that we noticed other tour groups were not visiting, gave us plenty of time for photographs, and was always happy to take pictures of our family. At the end, he even surprised me with a complimentary Polaroid of me sitting on the Iron Throne — a wonderfully fun little parting gift. Even after the tour, he followed up by sending me some additional material about subjects we had discussed because I had expressed an interest in learning more. This really felt like a tailor-made experience rather than a standard walking tour. Hrvoje was knowledgeable, accommodating, enthusiastic and simply a pleasure to spend time with. Five stars without hesitation, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a private tour of Dubrovnik
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed review! It was a real pleasure spending the day with you and your family. I’m especially happy that you enjoyed the flexibility, stories, and little surprises along the way. It was wonderful meeting you all, and I hope to see you back in Dubrovnik someday! Best regards, Hrvoje

Perfect way to get to know Dubrovnik!
What a fabulous private tour with Hrvoje! He goes above and beyond to tailor a tour to his guests. When we emailed him the day before that our son hurt his leg and couldn't walk far, Hrvoje recommended a store where we could get crutches and made sure the tour went at a slower pace to accommodate us. It was the perfect blend of history and anecdotes. Do this tour get a great sense of amazing Dubrovnik!

Great tour of old Dubrovnik with a very personal guide!
Great private tour of historic Dubrovnik with a lot of attention to detail. We would do it again. Hrovje, our guide, answered all of our questions and even sent us a bunch of links to additional guides and videos to further explain and answer some of the (many) questions we asked. We have done many tours but Hrovje made this one special.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed the detailed walk through Dubrovnik and that all your questions were answered. Happy the extra links and materials added value after the tour. I really appreciate your kind words! Best regards, Hrvoje

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Dubrovnik Private Old Town History Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubrovnik.
How much does Dubrovnik Private Old Town History Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubrovnik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Dubrovnik Private Old Town History Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubrovnik is not rushed.
Is Dubrovnik Private Old Town History Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Dubrovnik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Dubrovnik Private Old Town History Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Dubrovnik Private Old Town History Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Dubrovnik Private Old Town History Tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubrovnik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubrovnik and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Dubrovnik Private Old Town History Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubrovnik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dubrovnik?
+
On Outty we rank every Dubrovnik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour, Panorama Zipline Experience in Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik: 7 Caves & Blue Cave Speedboat Tour (4h). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dubrovnik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dubrovnik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
