Experience camel riding, sand boarding and get a henna tattoo then relax with a ‘Shisha’ Arabic water-pipe. First stop on your desert rendezvous is a traditional camel farm to see herds of the magnificent hump-backed herbivores. After showing off your balancing skills on a camel ride around the enclosures, learn about the different types of camels that are commonly seen in the desert around Dubai. Continue by 4x4 across the desert plains to the campsite in the desert and try your hand at a popular local pastime: sandboarding! Learn to master the art of 'surfing on sand' and race your friends and fellow travelers down the sand dunes during in an adrenaline-rushing experience. Show off your balance skills on a camel ride or relax and take a seat outside to watch your show as the sun sets over the craggy canyons and sun-baked plains. - Dress code: lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses are advised. Hats are advisable when in direct sunlight.
- Guests visiting the UAE during the Summer months (June – September) are advised that peak daytime temperatures sometimes reach 42 – 45 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels can also exceed 90 percent during this period. We recommend all our guests to take adequate precaution.
- The Dubai desert can get cooler in the evenings during winter, so we recommend you bring a light jacket and closed shoes. Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.
- The local tour operator reserves the right to cancel any part of the scheduled programs because of government decisions, public holidays, weather conditions, or other similar circumstances.
- The duration of the actual tour takes 5 – 6 hour but the driving time from Dubai hotel and return may take another 60 – 90 minutes depending on traffic conditions and time of day.
- Due to safety precaution process, please note that we will NOT be conducting "Falcon show" & 'Ayala Dance" during the Desert safari from 01 Nov 2020 until further notice.
- During the Islamic holidays / Ramadan fasting month,there will be a restriction on live entertainment ( Belly dance , Tanoura dance) and serving alcohol throughout the UAE. Therefore the Safari will be operated without these entertainments and serving of alcohol at the camp site during these days.

Choosing a tour company for the desert safari can be tough , but I can't recommend this tour company enough! Firstly, as someone who gets terrible car sickness, I was completely fine – the hour-long drive to the dunes is all straight roads. We chose the private tour so I could sit in the front seat. We had a great stop at a Camel Hospital/racing track before the amazing sand bashing. We were the only car in the dunes and our driver was so skilled. He even took fantastic sunset photos of us on the dunes. The camp was beautiful! We were welcomed with drinks, Arabic coffee, fresh bread, soft drinks, and an incredible BBQ buffet. Plus, henna painting, sandboarding, and camel rides were all free! The entertainment was fantastic, broken into short, exciting segments, especially the fire and belly dancing.

Experience was great,...
Experience was great, what wasn't great was the customer service of Viator. After chatting with many people from the customer service asking for the experience I was trying to arrange and asking for a full private one, they all said it was. But when I payed and asked to the tour operator if it was a full private experience they said it wasn't. This was a business trip I never said anything about the average price per person I was willing to pay it was assumed that I wanted to pay less which force us to have an experience shared instead of a full private one.

Enjoyable and fun
This was really good value for money. We had the vehicle to ourselves. The guide/driver arrived promptly at our hotel lobby and was amiable throughout. He was an expert at driving at the sand dunes and we were safe and had fun. We had a quick visit to a camel farm. The camel ride was just a short circle around the area but it is enough for me. The entertainment during dinner could’ve been grander but I have no complaints if it means keeping costs down.
